00:00How's the sale going so far? Yeah it's held up pretty good. The numbers really blew out here
00:04over the last week to the draw yesterday was pretty close to 7,000 head ended up scanning
00:12somewhere north of six but this morning it's held up pretty solid considering that jump in number
00:18the heavier end of the like feeder weight steers started off a bit doughy around 350
00:24cents a kilo ended up more 370 80 getting up towards 4 but you know certainly 70s and 80s
00:31which is around about pretty solid on where the mark has been over the last week or two
00:35but the uh the lighter calves i thought really got strong certainly down into some runs as
00:41lighter 200 kilo cattle getting up if they weren't making five dollars very very close to it so it
00:47was yeah quite solid and most of the cattle locals are principally local and some really
00:54good local calves here still a lot of september october dropped calves now that we're starting
00:58to see come through i suppose what did help bolster the numbers to such a degree did have
01:03significant numbers of cattle sent to us from the south from some of those drier regions so they
01:07certainly did bolster the number certainly showing the effects of the that drier winter down south
01:14and what about buyers have we got buyers from outside the area or mostly yeah look
01:20mainly locals um obviously a lot of orders they're going through commission buyers i'm not
01:25certain exactly where they're going yet um but certainly our orders going into queensland as well
01:31so over a pretty big area but a lot of locals here still you know looking at the market plenty
01:36of opportunity in this cattle market at the moment you know as i've said on the rail six
01:41weeks time we're going to be on the footstep of spring and you'll be glad you've got the cattle
