00:00 But ESPN's Adrian Wojnowski saying today, JJ Redick were formally interviewed for the
00:08 Los Angeles Lakers coaching job this weekend and a strong performance is expected to move
00:14 him to the forefront of the franchise's search.
00:16 Yeah, we know, Waj, our guy Shams Sharania had this about a week and a half ago.
00:22 JJ Redick in further talks to become the next head coach of the Lakers and can probably
00:27 focus more of his attention on this interview to be the head coach of his podcast co-host
00:33 in LeBron James because the NBA finals in which he is calling for ESPN might be done
00:38 tomorrow night.
00:39 That's true.
00:40 So it's time to get a new job here moving forward.
00:43 And it looks like this was always supposed to be the fit in Los Angeles because obviously
00:47 an ex NBA guy can bring some interesting, you know, criteria to the team as we like
00:51 to say, play calls, whatever they might be, and also is going to be able to get along
00:56 with LeBron James, which means we're going to draft Ronnie and we're going to be one
00:59 happy family for the next two to three years in Los Angeles.
01:02 At this point, it's not a surprise, but also what will be surprising is I wonder if it's
01:06 one of these because the NBA insiders are very good at this.
01:08 If JJ Redick gets that job, the Lakers slow play with the financial numbers will be for
01:13 a couple of weeks.
01:14 So we tend to forget about it because we know what that offer was to Dan Hurley and it was
01:18 a low ball.
01:19 So I can only imagine that was the upper echelon of the contract structure that the Lakers
01:23 were going to go for a guy they knew they had to overpay.
01:27 You don't have to overpay for JJ Redick.
01:29 I want to see what some of these final numbers come out to be or if JJ Redick has a very
01:33 good agent or not.
