00:00I was incredibly sad to have caused people hurt and upset.
00:03That was actually the last thing that I wanted to do.
00:06And as I said, I hope people can find it in their hearts to forgive me.
00:09When I realised I made a mistake, I apologised.
00:12This election now is about the future,
00:13and I do believe that we've turned a corner.
00:16And I appreciate that people want to see positive change.
00:19And my only point would be that you don't get any change
00:21unless you've got a plan and you're prepared to do bold things.
00:24And that's what our manifesto sets out.
00:25I have two young girls.
00:26I'm incredibly excited for them to do it,
00:29because I think it will be transformative for our country.
00:31I really do, because it will provide skills and opportunities
00:34for young people that will set them up for the rest of their lives.
00:37Those rules were difficult for everyone to follow,
00:41and the government should absolutely have gone above and beyond
00:45in following them.
00:46And I deeply regret what happened.
00:49I apologise for it at the time.
00:51And it was an extraordinarily difficult time for our country.
