00:00 UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has unveiled the Conservative Party`s manifesto ahead of
00:07 the general election on the 4th of July.
00:11 Among his main pledges is the promise of lower taxes, along with a raise in defense spending
00:16 and stricter border security.
00:19 And as he trails behind the left of center Labour Party in opinion polls, Sunak acknowledged
00:24 the public`s frustration with his government.
00:26 But I`m not blind to the fact that people are frustrated with our party and frustrated
00:33 with me. Things have not always been easy and we have not got everything right. But
00:39 we are the only party in this election with the big ideas to make our country a better
00:45 place to live.
00:47 The launch comes a day after Sunak was forced to deny rumors he might quit before the election
00:52 and could be one of his final chances to get his campaign back on track.
