00:00Here's one for me, Joe, that I actually, I had to take a little step back when I heard it.
00:04So Josh Allen spoke yesterday, Buffalo Bill mandatory mini camps.
00:10And what has he been working on in the off season, Joe?
00:12Now, Josh, I've never felt has had any mechanic problems.
00:16When he came out in the draft, Joe, I think there was people that thought
00:19he needed to become more accurate, which he did.
00:22To be fair, you look at those completion percentage numbers for him and whatnot.
00:26They have gotten to a very high level in the league.
00:31But what has Josh been working on, Joe?
00:33He's been working on his mechanics heading into this year.
00:36Yeah, big time on just mechanically getting as efficient as possible.
00:42Meeting with Chris Sass, who's been here.
00:44He owns biometric, just digitally mapping our throwing motions right now.
00:50And just seeing what we can tighten up on and improve on.
00:54And just having that in the back of our mind.
00:55So when we're doing our individual work, when we're inside the building,
00:58making sure that we're doing everything we need to do.
01:01And I need to do to be as clean as possible.
01:04You know, he can deliver the ball as consistently as possible.
01:08You know, it takes less to think.
01:10Think about and you can focus more on, you know, what the defense is presenting.
01:14So, yeah, just trying to I don't need to be as efficient as possible.
01:18I don't need this, Joe.
01:19Let me just tell you something.
01:20What makes this guy great is that he can do things that other guys can't on the fly.
01:27I don't need him sitting down and starting to become some chart and graph quarterback.
01:30I don't need that, Joe.
01:32Fine.
01:32You want to be more efficient, mechanics, blah, blah, blah.
01:36I want to see him, Joe, get back to deep balls.
01:39I want to see that and get back.
01:40I want to see that.
01:41I want to see him making plays on the fly.
01:43That's what makes him the quarterback that he is.
01:46Not worrying about mechanics.
01:48And I'm sure all quarterbacks go through this, Joe.
01:50They want to do things quicker, better, faster, whatnot.
01:54It better not change the way that he's been, Joe.
01:57Because that's why he's one of the best in the league.
01:58I agree with Josh Allen.
02:00You take the good.
02:01You take the bad and the ugly.
02:02And that's the overall package, right?
02:04Yeah, you got to take everything.
02:06I will say not as much ugly anymore.
02:08No, I agree.
02:09But the interceptions at times, you know, but let me just say this.
02:12That's what makes his game so unique.
02:15And the problem, yet again, is we're having a quarterback start to worry about mechanics.
02:19Is my arm at a 90-degree angle?
02:21Is it a, do I have my right foot in front by two yards as opposed to three yards?
02:26These are all things that make players think.
02:29And, you know, you go back to a reactionary sport.
02:32I'm a believer in if you can get the ball from point A to point B, I don't care how you do it.
02:38Just do it, right?
02:39That's the biggest thing.
02:40I don't know if you remember this, but Nick Saban had a punter.
02:44And it was in the book that came out that he had a punter and they changed his mechanics
02:48because he was, you know, he was trying to be more efficient.
02:52And he threw that out the window.
02:53Just do it and do it right as long as you feel comfortable.
02:57And these coaches try to change too much.
03:00And then, you know what happens?
03:02The quarterback goes into this big abyss and he never gets out.
03:06So I hope for your sake, he doesn't start listening to the charts and grand skies.
03:11Because then you're in trouble.
03:14I'm with you.
03:14I hope that he doesn't start listening to the charts and graphs guys either.
03:19But I still think, Joe, he's got a lot of interesting pieces around him this year.
03:25And the offense is going to be able to move the football and they're going to be able to
03:28put points up.
03:29I saw Keon Coleman signed his rookie deal this morning as well, which is good news.
03:34Sleeper pick of the draft.
03:36Keon Coleman, sleeper pick of the draft.
