00:02 - You get to another level with the Buffalo Bills,
00:04 Boomer, you played at such a high level in the NFL,
00:06 been to a Super Bowl,
00:07 something that Josh Allen is hoping to get to here.
00:10 You take a look at the coaching changes here.
00:11 Brian Dable, who helped him out so much,
00:13 moves on to the New York Giants.
00:15 Now it's Ken Dorsey as his offensive coordinator.
00:17 Talk to us about some of the changes
00:18 that you might've went through in your career,
00:20 going from offensive coordinator
00:21 and getting maybe a different philosophy,
00:23 because it doesn't seem to be working right now
00:25 for Josh Allen.
00:26 - You know, it's a very good point
00:28 because right in the middle of my career,
00:30 Bruce Coslett left me
00:32 and went to become the head coach of the New York Jets.
00:34 He was my offense coordinator, knew me inside and out.
00:37 And when we lost him,
00:38 I kind of lost my brother in arms, if you will.
00:41 Like he was the one that could criticize me.
00:43 He was the one that could coach me hard.
00:45 He was the one that could say that I'm loafing in practice,
00:48 whatever it took to get the best out of me,
00:50 he had that unique,
00:52 or we had that unique relationship
00:54 where he was able to do that.
00:55 And I do believe that Josh misses Brian Dable.
00:58 I don't care what anybody says.
01:00 And I'm not taking this out on Ken Dorsey.
01:02 This is just the natural thing that happens in the NFL.
01:05 You lose one coordinator that knows you really well
01:08 from the day that they drafted you,
01:10 can get the best out of you,
01:11 can say things to you that very few people
01:14 in an organization could say to a superstar quarterback.
01:17 And that guy's gonna listen because he knows
01:19 it's in his best interest to pay attention
01:21 to that coordinator and what he's telling you.
01:24 I'm sure that Ken Dorsey and Josh
01:26 have a very good relationship.
01:27 And the one thing I did like about Ken Dorsey last night
01:30 is that they went back to the running game.
01:32 They tried to take some of the pressure off of Josh Allen.
01:35 So he did make a mistake late in the game.
01:37 And that running game proved to be effective
01:39 against one of the worst rushing defenses in football
01:41 in the Denver Broncos.
01:42 So all in all, if they don't have 12 men on the field,
01:45 they end up winning that football game
01:47 and they feel a hell of a lot better
01:48 about themselves this morning
01:50 than they do because of what happened
01:51 the way that game transpired.
01:53 So Josh is still a top six or seven quarterback
01:57 in my eyes in this league.
01:59 And he could beat you at a givens notice.
02:01 He just has not found their rhythm
02:03 that they had back in week two, three, and four.
02:06 And they quite frankly haven't been the same
02:07 since they got back from London.
