00:00and the AL have won 40 plus games. The Yankees with the most in baseball, 46, the Baltimore
00:10Orioles now 42, the Guardians over that 40 win threshold with 42, the Royals one win
00:16away from the 40 win benchmark, but booked as an underdog at home tonight against New
00:22York. Eight and a half is the total. Seth Lugo on the bump. Seth Lugo at Kauffman with
00:27a plus money price. Give me Kansas city. Yeah, you might be right on that because you
00:32also take a look at that. Sometimes that Sunday night, major league baseball layover, that
00:36was a big time series between the Yankees and the Dodgers. A lot of hype around it.
00:39A lot of terrible hats making their way around social media with Otani and judge on the same
00:44hat on the, who bought those hats for my goodness here, but let's get back to the game tonight.
00:48You might have that jet lag. Did you see the hats? Somebody, the producers can probably
00:51bring it up. If you can do this quickly, obviously not right now, but bring up the hat that caused
00:57a lot of stir here and who would actually buy it's Otani and it's judge on the same
01:01hat. So we'll get back to that in a bit, but let's handicap this game overall. Carlos Rodon
01:05is on the mound, left-handed pitcher. You take a look at him, 115 at bats or batters
01:09that he's faced over the past month, a one 60 ISO, which is below average, which is fine,
01:14but a two 50 weighted on base percentage. He's actually improved as the season has moved
01:17on, but you do have a lineup today for the Kansas city Royals.
01:20That does hit left-handed pitching quite well, five to six guys in that lineup. It's a pretty
01:24high weighted on base percentages here. Maybe the best of it. Of course, it's probably with
01:28junior 18 at bats against lefties over the past month at three 53 ISO power number. Pretty
01:33good. How about Nelson Velasquez right in the batter three 53 also on his ISO power
01:37number. So they might be able to get down those Yankees bats and included in the starting
01:41lineup that I anticipated. How about Juan Soto be interesting if he gets back in the
01:45number today, but two good pitches, Seth Lugo has been very good. I believe he got roughed
01:49up a little bit in his last start, but outside of that has been very, very good. So if I'm
01:54looking at that eight and a half number, I'm probably eating under in this game tonight,
01:58but that could change if Soto's back in that lineup and healthy, you got the first six
02:02batters in that lineup doing a lot of damage against right-handed pitching over the past
02:06month. So that could sway my opinion.
