A motorcyclist has been arrested for hitting a car with a helmet following a minor road accident at Jalan Sungai Pinang in George Town.

A video clip of the incident has gone viral, showing the car driver asking his distressed daughter to keep recording the suspect, who was pursuing their vehicle.

00:00 A road rage incident caused much distress to a man and his daughters, as seen in a video

00:12 Georgetown District Police Chief ACP Razlam Abdul Halim said the incident happened at
00:17 Jalan Sungai Pinang after a minor road accident at around 2.50pm last Saturday.
00:24 The complainant left the scene after finding that his car was not damaged.
00:28 But the motorcyclist followed the man's car and struck the window with his helmet.
00:33 As the driver drove off, he told his daughter to keep recording the motorcyclist who was
00:37 pursuing their car.
00:39 When the car slowed down, the motorcyclist caught up and started hitting the car with
00:43 his helmet again.
00:44 ACP Razlam said the driver lodged a police report and the motorcyclist, in his 30s, was
00:51 arrested at his home in Sungai Pinang at about 7pm on Sunday.
00:57 The suspect has been remanded for four days until June 12 to assist with the investigation
