A career coach has revealed the SIX ways you can use AI to get your dream job.

Melissa Stone, 42, is a HR professional with over 20 years experience.

With the rise of AI, people are using the tool every day and Melissa has revealed how you can use it to get ahead in your career.

Melissa said that using AI will allow you to put yourself in the position of the interviewer as it can suggest the questions and answers they are most likely to ask.

Recently, Melissa told one of her clients - who had been searching for a new role for two years - to follow her six step process and she secured her dream job.

Melissa, a HR director and career coach, from Wexford, County Wexford, Ireland, said: "I seem to be getting a lot of questions lately from people asking about how to use Artificial Intelligence to get ahead at work.

"So many people hear buzzwords like "AI" and "Chat GPT" but they don't know how to actually utilise what's out there.

"If you're applying for a role, and want to us AI to get ahead, just follow these six simple steps.

"You are far more likely to succeed if you prepare for your job interview this way."

Melissa's first step is to open up your resume in full and go to Chat GPT and write "this is my resume" and paste it below.

Next, Melissa said people should open the job advert that are applying for and copy all the information and duties that appear in the description.

She said you then go back into the text box of Chat GPT and write "this is the job I am applying to" before prompting it to "provide me with the interview questions I could be based on that job advert".

Melissa said: "Chat GPT will then bring up a load of interview questions you could be likely asked on the day.

"If it comes up with 10 questions, you can ask them for more to ask and then you will see a theme emerging whether that be team work of leadership.

"When people prepare for interviews, they think of all the questions they might get asked but not how to answer them.

"Doing this will give them an impartial example of what the hiring manager would likely say.

"This is about what they would like to hear, you put yourself in their shoes and say what they need to hear."

The sixth and final step is to go back into Chat GPT and write "based on my resume and the interview questions you have identified, provide me with answers I could give to showcase my strengths in each of these questions”.

Melissa said: "Chat GPT will bring up a host of high quality answers that will impress any hiring manager at interview.

"I’m obviously not suggesting to people that they should just turn up at interview and repeat all of what they read as their answers on the day.

"But this really does give good food for thought as people prepare their own answers as part of their interview preparation.

"Particularly if a person has not interviewed in years, this simple hack, could really help them in preparing for their job interview on the day."
