00:04 Hi, I'm Ziggy Harris, former TAS student and now opera singer, born and bred here in Armidale, New South Wales.
00:11 And I've returned from my trip overseas, singing in Europe and Canada, to bring you a recital.
00:16 Here in the place where I grew up, with pianist Dr. Robert Manley.
00:20 The program consists of a mix of repertoire from fan favourites such as the Torridor aria from Bizet's Carmen,
00:26 to more niche repertoire such as a cycle of German Lieder by Gustav Mahler, known as the Ruecker Lieder.
00:32 Other repertoire includes arias from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro and Gunnar's Faust.
00:37 It's just so great and deeply meaningful to be back in my hometown amongst my family and my friends,
00:47 and to showcase what I've been working on for the past couple of years to the community that appreciates it,
00:53 that respects it, and the community that raised me to do this thing.
