01:19 Yeah, no one's talking about super kicks, but a super kiss.
01:23 And a lot of people have two main questions.
01:26 One, what the hell did Dominic do
01:28 to get so lucky in his life?
01:30 Yeah, calm yourself down.
01:34 You're being perverted with your response right there.
01:36 And two, what on earth is going to happen
01:38 in the aftermath of it all?
01:40 We're going to try and get into that.
01:41 We're leaning into the soap opera
01:43 side of the superstar lives.
01:45 Yes, if you missed out on WWE television
01:48 in the past couple of years, here's
01:49 a little bit of background on what the last two years have
01:52 looked like for these three people in this potential big
01:57 love triangle.
01:58 Rhea Ripley began her run of dominance in 2022.
02:01 The last women to pin her were none other than Liv Morgan,
02:05 something that still holds up to this day.
02:08 Rhea and Liv had a good deal of history together,
02:10 first as partners, then as foes.
02:13 As you probably may know, Rhea Ripley
02:15 has gone on to become the number one woman
02:17 in all of professional wrestling.
02:19 After winning the Royal Rumble in 2023
02:21 and defeating Charlotte Flair in a show-stealing performance
02:24 at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
02:27 She went on to bulldoze her competition
02:30 throughout the year, despite having injuries,
02:32 retaining her momentum, and including
02:34 a big match against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40,
02:36 where she came out on top.
02:38 During that 2022 stretch, before her big breakout year
02:42 as a solo superstar, Rhea Ripley's rival Liv Morgan
02:46 wasn't having a very bad year herself.
02:48 She won the Women's Money in the Bank briefcase
02:50 and became the SmackDown Women's Champion,
02:52 defeating Ronda Rousey, only holding the title
02:55 for a little while before losing it back to Ronda Rousey.
02:59 She went on to become who many thought
03:01 was just a perpetual runner-up,
03:02 someone who would only have a fleeting spot at the top.
03:06 She was the runner-up in the Women's Royal Rumble matches
03:09 in 2023 and 2024, and she was even the runner-up
03:13 for the Women's Battle Royal
03:14 to crown a new Women's World Champion
03:17 after Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the title
03:20 because of Liv Morgan attacking her backstage.
03:24 Liv's attack on Rhea on Raw,
03:26 right after WrestleMania 40's season,
03:28 was directly responsible for the Women's World title
03:30 being vacated.
03:32 That's right, Liv Morgan wanted revenge
03:34 on her former tag team partner,
03:36 and this was a legitimate way, with a legitimate injury,
03:40 to kick that all off into high gear.
03:43 As for Dominik Mysterio, 2022 marked a turning point
03:46 for him as well.
03:47 After some fans who don't wanna pay attention
03:49 to anything below the surface labeled him bland,
03:51 boring, and vanilla, Dominik Mysterio went on
03:54 to betray his father, Rey Mysterio,
03:57 the legendary Rey Mysterio, and Edge,
04:00 when they joined forces to take on the Judgment Day
04:02 at a premium live event, Clash at the Castle.
04:05 That's right, the son turned on his father.
04:08 From there, it's been off to the races
04:10 for dirty Dominik Mysterio, with Rhea Ripley
04:13 whispering in his ear all of those evil influences.
04:17 He's become one of the most hated villains
04:19 in all of professional wrestling and WWE,
04:22 with crowds still refusing to let him talk
04:25 whenever he holds a microphone in his hand
04:27 for the last two years.
04:29 Let's flip it back to more recent history,
04:31 with Liv Morgan promising that her revenge tour
04:34 would see her take everything from Rhea.
04:37 She may have been the runner-up in that battle royal
04:39 to crown the new champion after Rhea had to vacate the title,
04:42 but the interesting glances between Dominik
04:46 and Liv Morgan backstage would start to become intriguing.
04:50 Even some keen eyes would check out Dominik Mysterio
04:54 leaving a locker room, and then Liv Morgan
04:56 leaving that same locker room in the background
04:59 of some interviews on WWE television.
05:01 What did this mean?
05:02 In the lead up to the King and Queen of the Ring event,
05:05 where Liv would challenge Becky Lynch
05:06 for that Women's World title, well,
05:09 Dominik ended up helping her win
05:11 the Women's World Championship,
05:12 despite him coming all the way to Saudi Arabia
05:15 to get revenge for Rhea Ripley.
05:17 Yeah, his arm was in a sling,
05:19 so I guess it wasn't easy for him
05:20 to throw that steel chair into the ring.
05:22 And just two nights later,
05:24 he was steamrolled by Big Braun Strowman.
05:27 He once again inadvertently helped Liv Morgan
05:30 because his body was smashed up against the steel cage door
05:34 that bombs on Becky Lynch's head
05:36 and lets Liv Morgan escape with the title.
05:38 This is where it all went to a more interesting level.
05:43 The story was clear.
05:44 Liv Morgan is trying to take everything away
05:46 from Rhea Ripley while she's gone.
05:48 And is Dominik in on all of this?
05:51 Morgan has been injecting herself
05:53 into the Judgment Day faction
05:55 with social media posts of her having some memorabilia
05:58 of her gear, like JD McDonough's hand scarf
06:02 being spotted in her Instagram post.
06:04 Wow, you people are...
06:05 A week after that infamous kiss on Monday Night Raw,
06:08 she made it clear to Dom that while Rhea Ripley
06:11 might quite literally kill her,
06:14 Rhea Ripley would also kill Dominik for his behavior.
06:18 Dominik, in typical slimy heel fashion,
06:22 decided not to contact Rhea to give her some space,
06:27 which was something very much in character for him.
06:30 All while the Judgment Day appears to have clear cracks
06:34 within the group since Rhea Ripley has taken a hiatus.
06:38 Apparently you guys think the thing doesn't work without her.
06:40 Yeah, some of you Rhea Ripley loyalists
06:42 are really starting to lose your minds without her on TV.
06:46 The stars have been aligning brilliantly.
06:48 In a similar vein of WWE's approach
06:50 to Drew McIntyre versus CM Punk,
06:53 they're building a lot of anticipation
06:55 for Liv Morgan versus Rhea Ripley.
06:57 Yes, they're able to make characters interesting
07:00 even if they can't have matches to keep the storyline going,
07:04 at least on one side of the scenario.
07:05 Ultimately, this depends on how long Rhea Ripley
07:08 will be on the shelf and out of the scene
07:10 and away from the TV camera for WWE.
07:13 There's a lot of speculation,
07:14 but Rhea Ripley being back in the gym
07:17 is a sign to many that her return
07:19 may not be as far away as we might have initially thought.
07:23 If the timing is right,
07:25 then a feud for SummerSlam can easily be set up.
07:29 Maybe make it a custody of Dominik ladder match,
07:32 19 years in the making after that original one.
07:35 Yes, the outlandish 2005 storyline
07:38 that had a SummerSlam ladder match
07:40 where Eddie Guerrero fought Rey Mysterio
07:43 for the custody of Dominik.
07:45 Yes, that really happened.
07:47 There's potential for a good story
07:49 that can lead to the biggest feud of the summer
07:52 in WWE's women's division,
07:54 maybe even the biggest feud for any women
07:56 in wrestling this year.
07:58 We know that Nia Jax will be competing
08:00 for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam,
08:03 her rightful honor,
08:04 after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament.
08:06 So Rhea's return will be enough to warrant
08:09 a big rematch since she never lost the title.
08:13 If Liv Morgan continues to wind Dominik
08:16 and his mullet around her finger and tease it up,
08:19 then you never know what might happen.
08:22 When we hear that song of, "This is my brutality
08:26 "and that's my man, get away from him."
08:28 This is a feud that WWE needs on the raw side,
08:33 especially with the show making the big leap
08:35 to Netflix at the end of 2024.
08:37 These are the type of testy angles
08:39 that push the limits of TV ratings
08:41 that we traditionally expected from WWE
08:44 to a different level.
08:45 Once you're on Netflix,
08:46 you have a lot more creative freedom.
