00:00Listen, when you talk about guys that could jump high, I mean, does anybody remember,
00:10you know, David Thompson? You know, or how about the one of the greatest nicknames of
00:18all time, Dr. Duncan Stein. Do you remember Daryl Griffin? Dr. Duncan Stein. That's one
00:25of the greatest nicknames of all time. Then you look at, you talk about ferocious dunkers,
00:29like Dominique Wilkins, like who used to, I mean, how about the rain man, Shawn Kemp?
00:34Oh my God. The Lister blistering, well, the Ulster Lister is still one of the best dunks
00:39of all time, along with little facial that he did and pointed at him. Listen, ball is
00:44ball and it's always been fabulous. It has changed, right? A little bit from the motion
00:49offense of Bob Knight in the seventies, right? To the Showtime fast break, Los Angeles Lakers
00:56of the eighties to the rugged and tough Pistons and Knicks of the early nineties, the elevation
01:04of Jordan and the Bulls. Then you get into, you know, the team played an international
01:09ball with the San Antonio Spurs, the Shaq and Colby, right? You go all the way into
01:15the, like even, you know, the Celtics, how they've kind of weaved and changed over the
01:20years. Basketball has always been basketball. And I think you need to understand the purity
01:27of the game and how the game has evolved over the course of time. It has been maybe 47.
01:35It's been a pleasure to watch. Now I can tell you right now, there was nothing more better
01:39for me than back in the day before I even went to NBC for L when it was the NBA, if
01:48I'm not mistaken, it was on CBS. And you, and this was before folks, this is before
01:54ESPN got popular. There wasn't no direct TV or it was in the eighties, right? And you
02:01waited for that Sunday double header.
