The KL Sessions Court has granted former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin’s wife Toh Puan Na'imah Abdul Khalid’s application to obtain temporary access to her passport to travel to Switzerland and Singapore.
Judge Azura Alwi allowed the application after the prosecution did not object to the application made by Na’imah’s lawyer M.Puravalen for her passports to be temporarily released from Friday (June 7) until June 30.

00:33 to go to Basel in Switzerland to attend an art exhibition and to meet with her company's
00:38 stakeholders in Singapore.
00:40 The 66-year-old added that the reason for choosing to travel between June 10 till the
00:46 30th was because appointments were already set for her to meet with several individuals
00:51 during her journey.
00:52 She also said she has appeared on all dates set by the court, showing no intention to
00:57 flee and pledged to surrender her passport to the court upon returning to Malaysia on
01:02 or before June 30.
01:05 On January 23, Na'ima pleaded not guilty to a charge of failing to comply with a notice
01:10 to declare her assets, which included Manara Ilham, as well as several other assets around
01:15 Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
01:17 The court granted bail at RM250,000 with one surety and ordered her to surrender her passport.
01:24 The court ruled that Na'ima was not guilty of any of the charges.
01:25 She was released on bail on June 30, 2016.
