Your gig ticket reflections

What's the most you'd pay for a gig - and who would you see? How do you think the ticketing industry could be better regulated to stop scams and resellers asking extortionate prices?

00:00 I think resale culture is really harmful to touring artists.
00:05 Yeah.
00:06 It's so normal to hear people being like,
00:08 "Yeah, I paid a grand to see Taylor Swift,"
00:11 because people just buy a school ticket.
00:12 - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - You know?
00:14 I've had friends who have been scammed out of it
00:17 for Glastonbury and stuff like that.
00:19 I just bought some tickets the other day for a party next door.
00:22 We thought that if they were over £100, then we wouldn't pay that,
00:25 but we're lucky to get them for, like, 58,
00:27 which I think is quite reasonable for a concert.
00:29 I would say, upper limit, £100,
00:31 unless it was, like, my all-time favourite artist ever.
00:34 I bought tickets for Co-op Live,
00:37 but it's a bit disappointing to see that that was cancelled.
00:40 I'd probably spend up to about £40 for someone I know.
00:42 Unless it was someone where I was like,
00:43 "Oh, I've been really wanting to see them for a long time."
00:45 Yeah, exactly. If it's someone really big.
00:47 - Yeah. - Or a festival or something.
00:48 I think the biggest gig I've been to see was Blondie.
00:50 - Oh, wow. - Yeah.
00:51 But to be fair, I actually got that for free
00:53 because my ex knew someone, so...
00:55 Oh, nice.
00:56 But I would have probably paid like 60 or 70 for Blondie.
