00:24 Is it gonna be Latvia? Is it gonna be Italy down that last straight away?
00:28 I think it's gonna be the rider on the inside but I can't see the loop play from here.

01:33 He's in blue and that's the colors of Estonia.
01:36 Is it Estonia? This is a 407.

02:51 Rider there on the inside.
02:53 Who's that going around him on the outside?
02:54 Purple, pink and blue.
02:56 He looks good. He looks fast.
02:57 Is he Latvian?
02:58 Patrick Kravclis I think it could be in the two spot on the 13 by no it's a 25.
03:03 He's Delicado. Delicado from Spain.
03:06 Then we see Italy coming through.
03:07 It's a Martino Castellini.
03:09 Castellini from Italy in the qualifying position.
03:12 Then we see Kravclis from Latvia in the fourth coming down the last stride.
03:16 I think that's the way they're going to finish.
03:17 But Tom Buffay takes another win.
03:20 Delicado Kravclis is going to make it with Castellini.

05:44 And it's the world number three
05:45 and the world number four of course, Lillian Juvelo.
05:48 Then we see the rider from Holland in there in three.
05:51 It's going to be Luke Van Haren, Miljkovic from Norway.
05:55 In there trying to make it through.
05:56 Where is the rider from Norway?
05:58 Is that Amy in there in four?
05:59 I'm not sure.
06:00 As they come down the last straightaway
06:02 across the finish line, the fourth place is going to go to
06:05 the 7.03, was that Viggo Miljkovic from Norway?
06:09 - Race number 36 for the men, 17 to 24.
06:12 (speaking in foreign language)
06:16 - Yeah, 17 to 24, we've got the world champion in this one.
06:41 (speaking in foreign language)
06:45 - Then we see Spencer Gibson in there for Great Britain.
06:53 In three and off he makes Jaden Seward in four.
06:56 So two British riders going through in race number 37.
07:00 Great stuff for them after Gibson took a fall earlier on.
07:03 Good to see him making it through to the quarters.
07:06 (speaking in foreign language)
07:10 - Race number 38 on the track.
07:12 (speaking in foreign language)
07:16 - All righty then, men 20, 17 to 24.
07:38 Race number 39 on track.
07:40 Look at these guys come at you here, Latvia, France,
07:42 Holland, Slovakia, Czechia, and Italy.
07:45 It's the 7.41 and the 7.54.
07:47 And that's Nick Roselkans and Matisse Bergele.
07:51 Nick van der Seiden in there as well with the Czechia
07:54 rider moving on through.
07:54 That's Adam Pecak, Pecak from Czechia.
07:58 Is he going to hang on to the fourth spot?
08:00 Coming down the last straightaway.
08:01 Czechia's checking out.
08:03 Oh no, he's going to lose it on the line.
08:05 It's the 7.06 of Nick van der Seiden to go through.
08:09 - Here we go, men 17 to 24, the race number 40.
08:14 (speaking in foreign language)

11:22 - Okay ladies and gentlemen,
11:35 you catch us back here in the team area.
11:37 We're here with Team GB,
11:39 and we've got three riders in the elite category here.
11:42 Ross Cullen, Quillen Isadore, and Kyle White.
11:45 We're backstage with these three guys.
11:46 This weekend is kind of important for them,
11:49 as most of the GB fans back at home,
11:51 and maybe some of the Americans watching,
11:53 might well know that, you know,
11:55 there are points on the line here
11:56 to send one or two of these guys to the Olympics in Paris
12:00 later on in August this year.
12:02 So guys, how's it all going?
12:04 Kyle White, you started to find a little bit of form,
12:07 although some may say that you had a bit of a lucky ride
12:09 in the world champs, in some of those qualifiers.
12:13 But you know, it's good to make a final
12:14 at the end of the day.
12:16 How are you feeling coming into this weekend
12:18 to bring up some points for the GB lads?
12:20 - I feel decent.
12:22 I'm here to be part of the team
12:27 and hopefully get more points for the team
12:29 and see what we can do.
12:31 But yeah, I feel good.
12:32 - And was you happy with your performance in the world?
12:35 I mean, I guess you always want more, right?
12:36 - No, yeah, of course I want more,
12:38 but at that time I wasn't feeling my best.
12:40 I wasn't riding my best.
12:42 There's no excuses, but I did get lucky.
12:46 So I'll take it and hopefully move on from it.
12:49 - Still don't want to ride a longer frame, no?
12:51 - No, my frame's long enough.
12:52 Perfect lap, my GT best bike ever.
12:54 - Okay, well done, Kyle.
12:56 It was a world finest, world number eight.
12:58 Move on here to Quillen Isidor.
12:59 Quillen, how's it going for you?
13:01 - Yeah, no, good, in good form.
13:03 My results definitely haven't shown it as of recent.
13:08 So I'm hoping that can change this weekend.
13:12 Obviously it's an important weekend for us,
13:13 but yeah, yeah, going all good.
13:15 Looking forward to racing.
13:16 - Okay, yeah, I mean, you had a great end
13:18 to the end of last season, you know, in Argentina,
13:20 a couple of podiums and everything else.
13:22 And we started this year really early
13:24 in Australia and New Zealand.
13:25 Do you think the early start to the season
13:27 might have hampered your form?
13:28 Or do you just think you've just been a little bit unlucky
13:31 or haven't just managed to just put it together?
13:33 - No, I think training was going really well,
13:35 but I had a couple crashes, two crashes in training
13:38 that like maybe affected about a month of my preparation.
13:41 And then I took a gamble at the start of the year
13:44 with a few things, setups on my bike,
13:46 and it didn't really pay off.
13:47 So I was constantly like stopping and changing.
13:50 And I think I have actually raced really well,
13:52 but I think I've just been on the unfortunate side
13:55 quite a lot of the times.
13:56 And so I've been able to walk away
13:57 from some of the weekends with like,
13:59 well, I've done the best I could,
14:00 I actually performed well,
14:01 but circumstances with BMX as a sport
14:04 is just got in my way.
14:05 And yeah, I think as of recent,
14:08 it's been a struggle like not making any finals,
14:11 not even semis and stuff.
14:12 So yeah, I think just need to put that behind me.
14:16 It's done now and I think I make a good weekend,
14:19 have a good weekend on Saturday,
14:20 good race day on Saturday and I won't give a damn.
14:22 - Well, the weather's supposed to be really good on Saturday,
14:25 25 degrees, bright sunshine,
14:27 is what I'm seeing on the weather channel.
14:29 Not tomorrow, tomorrow's going to be a washout.
14:32 But yeah, Saturday is looking good for the championship.
14:35 So let's hope it all works out for you guys.
14:37 Ross Cullen, one of the younger crew now in the camp,
14:41 as it were, and Quillen,
14:42 you're probably one of the older ones, right?
14:45 - I'm 28 this year.
14:46 - 28, yeah, okay.
14:47 So we're missing Paddy this weekend.
14:49 So if he's watching this,
14:50 good luck with Paddy in your next direction,
14:53 wherever you're going.
14:54 But Ross, how's it going for you guys?
14:55 - Yeah, all good.
14:57 Similar to Quillen, I mean, started off the year,
14:59 really good, woke up podium.
15:00 Yeah, and just ever since,
15:03 America didn't treat me well, shall I say.
15:05 The three races we did out there,
15:07 I really couldn't find myself, find my form,
15:09 but I've had some good memories here in Italy before.
15:13 Shared a podium with Kai last year,
15:14 and yeah, just excited to get fired up and race.
15:17 And hopefully it stays dry,
15:18 'cause every race we've had this year,
15:20 it's rained at some point.
15:21 So hopefully it'll stay dry.
15:23 - Yeah, the weather's been pretty shocking everywhere,
15:24 let's be honest.
15:25 Have you ridden this track?
15:27 Did you ride this track yesterday, guys?
15:29 - No, no, this is our first time since last year.
15:31 So we've never ridden from the berm jump onwards,
15:34 we haven't ridden this.
15:34 - Okay, yeah, they've changed the third straight a little bit.
15:37 Looks quite technical,
15:38 but you guys are all right with that, right?
15:39 - Yeah, I mean, I'd like to think
15:41 we're all quite good on our bikes, technically,
15:43 and I think this track will show
15:44 the technical riders to the knot,
15:45 so hopefully we're on the upper side of that.
15:48 - Yeah, okay.
15:48 - And we know, I think from memory,
15:52 something like a couple of semifinals
15:54 and a final this weekend could be enough, right,
15:56 to get the two places for the Olympics?
15:58 - Yeah, so I think, yeah, a final.
16:01 There's like a million different scenarios and that,
16:07 but if we just do our job and get ourselves in the final,
16:10 that'll take care of it.
16:11 And like, what was it, Nashville last weekend racing,
16:14 and I scored points to cancel out the American scoring,
16:18 so that was good, but we hope to do a bit better,
16:21 whereas Kai didn't want to come to the race,
16:24 but after Nashville, I get Kai on the phone straight away,
16:27 like, "Yo, need you here, man, need you here."
16:30 So yeah, hopefully two semis in the final,
16:33 I think should do it.
16:34 So I know the Americans are going to be praying
16:36 on our downfall, but we just go do what we can do
16:39 and have fun while doing it and let it be, innit?
16:44 - Obviously we'd like a first, second, and third,
16:46 not just two semis in a final.
16:47 - Listen, we've seen that before, right?
16:50 Was it Zolder?
16:51 - It was Zolder as well, we called it.
16:52 I mean, we called it in Sarians as well.
16:54 - That was another weather track where the weather was crap.
16:58 - Yeah, that was the only reason.
16:59 Like, yeah, just didn't affect Kai,
17:01 just affected everyone else.
17:03 - I remember Kai and Zolder one year,
17:04 I don't know what year it was, a few years ago now,
17:05 coming from like eighth to like second to qualify,
17:08 like a semi or something.
17:09 - Everyone was watching you.
17:10 - That was when your starts were really bad.
17:12 I mean, they're still bad, but...
17:13 (laughing)
17:14 - Oh, what?
17:15 No, my starts are improved a lot,
17:16 it's just I'm a bit slow right now.
17:19 Few crashes this year, so.
17:20 - Hey, don't talk now.
17:21 - Yeah.
17:22 - I'm only joking about your start.
17:24 I bet they were shocking a few years ago,
17:26 they are a lot better now.
17:27 - It was, it was.
17:28 Hit and miss, hit and miss, but yeah, no,
17:30 they're better now, it's just,
17:31 I'm not in the right form right now,
17:32 but I don't need to be, so.
17:34 - Now listen, we do interview the girls sometimes,
17:36 and I've got to say, like,
17:37 some of the girls are really coming on strong now,
17:39 Emily, Sienna Harvey, you know,
17:41 made the final out in Rock Hill and that.
17:43 These girls, do they look up to you?
17:45 Do they come to you for advice,
17:46 or do they just do their own thing?
17:48 - No, some of them are cheeky,
17:50 but got a bit of attitude, but no,
17:51 I think Emily's great, like,
17:54 we all take her under our wing and like,
17:56 give her some advice, and just like,
17:59 whenever anyone's riding on our sessions,
18:01 we always look to give people advice,
18:03 and like, yeah, Sienna, she's done really well.
18:06 It was only like, earlier this year,
18:08 where she couldn't even do four pedals down the hill,
18:10 she always missed a pedal, so it was always like,
18:12 us giving her a bit of advice to overcome that,
18:14 and yeah, now she's made a world final,
18:16 and yeah, you've got people like Freya, I think,
18:19 with them, like, you just kind of like,
18:20 let them be, because they're talent,
18:23 and they'll learn on themselves as well.
18:25 - Yeah, loads of young ones coming through, like.
18:27 - Yeah, yeah, I hope so, yeah, well,
18:29 yeah, you've got Freya, you've got Elsa, yeah, so.
18:31 - Maggie Bown, Simpson, all those young girls,
18:33 even further down the age groups,
18:35 in like, the 12, 13s, it's good to see.
18:37 So listen, guys, good luck this weekend.
18:39 Hopefully you do the business for Team GB,
18:41 but I'm being really boss, at the end of the day,
18:43 relax, catch some backside.
18:45 - Yeah, man, all the backside.
18:47 - Sounds good. (laughs)
18:49 Yeah, we'll end on that one.
18:50 Neil Stewart in the team area with Team GB,
18:53 two places up for grabs in the Olympics in Paris.
18:55 Let's hope the boys do the business.
18:57 Cheers, guys, thanks very much, yeah.
19:00 - Is this on Eurosport?
19:01 - No. - Oh, okay.
19:02 - Just.
19:03 Ladies and gentlemen, we're here in the team area here
19:06 with Team Target BMX Team, one of the nicest teams
19:10 on the circuit of the European scene.
19:11 We see them everywhere, these guys.
19:13 We've got freeriders from the men under 23s here.
19:16 We've got Jan-Victor Vranks, Thomas Willems,
19:19 and your name, sir?
19:21 - Alec Garcia.
19:22 - Ah, Garcia from Spain, of course.
19:24 He has a brother, older brother?
19:26 Yeah, older brother.
19:27 Okay, we're gonna talk about these guys,
19:29 'cause we've talked to some of the factory teams
19:31 and some of the national teams in the team area,
19:33 but these are what we call more of a national team,
19:37 if you like.
19:38 They're a private team.
19:39 They are sponsored by Mabo, Mabo BMX Bikes,
19:42 but they have a lot of sponsors here.
19:44 We'll just step back there.
19:45 You can see a lot of their sponsors.
19:47 They get a well-supported team,
19:49 and it's always good to see these teams.
19:50 Come back in, guys.
19:51 Come back closer to me.
19:53 On the European scene and the world scene,
19:55 some of these guys went out to the world championships
19:57 only a couple of weeks ago.
19:58 So anyway, look, we're gonna start with you,
20:00 Jan, Victor Ranks.
20:01 Men under 23, apparently this is your last year
20:04 in this category.
20:05 How are you feeling going into this year,
20:07 and how's your form been?
20:08 - Well, it's my last year, year 23.
20:11 Last year wasn't the best I saw.
20:13 My seventh of Europe, and I hope this year back,
20:16 a little bit better,
20:18 but my form is not so good like last year.
20:20 I work at home a lot, and yeah,
20:24 but the race is on Saturday,
20:27 and I'll be informed there.
20:30 - Yeah, you'll be informed there.
20:32 Listen, how do you find this track?
20:33 It looks quite technical out there.
20:34 They've changed the third straight,
20:36 the berm jump, what do you think?
20:38 - Yes, for me personally, I like the track,
20:41 but every year I was here,
20:44 I don't make the finish line,
20:46 because I hope this year more,
20:47 and it's now the European championship.
20:51 I'm more prepared than the other one.
20:54 - Okay, and what's it like riding for Target BMX team?
20:57 How do they support you guys?
20:58 I know what a great job they do,
21:00 but tell the people watching at home
21:02 what it's like to ride for one of the more national teams,
21:04 as it were.
21:05 - For me, it's just a family.
21:08 They do everything for me,
21:09 and this is also one of the important things of my career,
21:13 and yeah, for me, it's just a family.
21:15 - Yeah, okay, that's good.
21:16 We always say that about our own team back in the UK,
21:19 of course, it's a bit of a family team.
21:20 Come closer, guys, don't be scared of us.
21:23 Thomas Willems here.
