00:00Hi OG, this is Francis and welcome to Kalawakan Glass Cabins, located here in DRT, Bulacan.

00:14Just a short backstory, I'm not really from Bulacan, I'm from QC.

00:19And my workers and I were just guided to come here to DRT because I've never heard of DRT before.

00:28I've heard of it since late 2022.

00:32We just went for a ride and looked for a place to stay.

00:35Then we stumbled upon this camping site.

00:38And I got excited, so I asked the owner if I can develop the place to make a glass cabin like this.

00:51So the lot size of the entire property is 5,000 square meters.

00:55And then our glass cabin is 30 square meters.

00:58The balcony is 5 square meters, so the total is 35 square meters.

01:03And then the dipping pool below is 2 by 2 square meters.

01:10Based on our inspiration, we just combined what we saw and what we wanted.

01:16I was the one who designed it.

01:18It's also an advantage as a contractor because I have people to hold.

01:22And I have suppliers, so it's easier to get supplies.

01:27It's easier to do it because I can hold people on my own.

01:31And then it saves on the cost of supplies.

01:37Here in the glass cabin, we have an infinity pool.

01:39There's a panoramic view of the Biakna Batong Mountains.

01:42Next to the cabin, we have a bonfire area, which is free every night.

01:47You will also be assisted by caretakers.

01:49And we also have an outdoor dining area.

01:52We also have a balcony next to the cabin that still has a panoramic view.

02:01When we go inside, since this is a tiny house, we have a mini kitchen.

02:06We have a living area.

02:08We also have a loft bed and day bed.

02:11And we also have a bedroom downstairs.

02:14So all in all, it can fit six packs.

02:21We got the name Kalawaakan Glass Cabins because that's the name of the barangay.

02:27Kalawaakan DRT.

02:29It complements the place because during nighttime, the site is so beautiful.

02:34The place is so beautiful because you can really see the stars in Kalawaakan.

02:42The most difficult thing for us to install is our tempered glass roof in the cabins

02:49because you can't install the glass if the framings are wet.

02:57So we were waiting for the sun to rise.

02:59But during our construction, the climate here in Kalawaakan is a bit rainy and messy.

03:08So it just rained a bit.

03:11We were waiting for the sun to rise again.

03:14So when we installed the roof, it took us more than two weeks.

03:24What's good about staycation places like this one,

03:28as an owner, when you see that you can improve a site,

03:34you just have to do it.

03:36You can continuously improve the location.

03:38Maybe in the future, we'll add more activities here in the site

03:43since the lot area is still spacious.

03:46What I'm planning is airsoft.

03:48We'll also add shooting ranges.

03:50And then, right now, our cafe is only served exclusively for our guests here.

03:57So in the future, we'll open it to the public.

04:02Our location is very unique because it's just along the barangay road.

04:06There's no need for trekking.

04:08There's no need for 4x4 vehicles.

04:11Even motorbikes and sedans can reach this area.

04:14And the best part is that we're in the middle of two mountains,

04:19which are Biak na Bato and Sierra Madre.
