00:06 Hi OG! I'm Miss Joy Montejo. Welcome to Munding Hardin.
00:10 [music]
00:19 So here in Munding Hardin, we have plants of course because I am a plant lover or certified plantita.
00:28 [music]
00:34 Here, we make sure that it will be child-friendly. So we have this playground.
00:41 We have a swing and slide for the kids because I have kids. And then this is the seesaw.
00:47 I grew up playing with a seesaw. So we made this not for the kids but for us adults.
00:58 My inspiration for this house are my kids because I want them to experience the childhood that I went through.
01:05 Being outdoor, running around, playing hide and seek, playing with animals,
01:14 having pets, growing vegetables. I want them to experience that life that is fun even without gadgets.
01:24 Since I have two kids, boys, one of their bonding activities is to play basketball.
01:31 [music]
01:33 Actually, the concept is a small house. A small house in the middle of the field.
01:39 That's really my dream. It's just a house. My father said, "Why are you making a house?
01:47 You're wasting your money. We have a lot of trees in the mountains that we can use as a test. Let's make a house."
01:54 So that's where it started.
01:56 So this is our farmhouse which we call Villa Montejo Farmhouse.
02:00 This is a two-story farmhouse with a total floor area of 180 square meters.
02:06 80 square meters down here and 100 square meters up.
02:10 Let's go inside.
02:14 Okay. So this is our living area.
02:18 This is where we usually do our bonding moments with the kids and as family.
02:24 So as you can see, the farmhouse is 80% made of wood.
02:29 There are only three materials that are used here.
02:32 Number one is wood, number two is glass, and number three is the concrete.
02:37 So 80% of the house is made from wood.
02:40 So the exciting part here is the concept of the house that you're slowly building.
02:46 Because to be honest, it doesn't have a plan.
02:48 So everything is from scratch.
02:50 You can see that it's starting to have a face.
02:53 So all the details of the house are from me.
02:56 So this living room set is made from mahogany.
02:59 So as you can see, it's kind of ready.
03:02 It's a combination of mahogany and eucalyptus wood.
03:05 So it started from scratch.
03:07 These are the materials that we got from the mountains.
03:11 So here in the living room area, we still have the television.
03:17 The original plan for this wall is one big artwork of a tree
03:21 as a tribute to the trees that were used here in the farmhouse.
03:25 I decided to push through the construction of this house because this is my longtime dream.
03:31 So in Munding Hardin, I really dreamt that at the age of 40, I would have a retirement house.
03:37 During the pandemic, everything is so uncertain.
03:42 Life is so fast.
03:44 During that time, I said, "No, this is the time that I really need to build this."
03:49 So this is it.
03:51 In God's grace, this is it.
03:53 Okay, so as I have mentioned, I am a certified plantita.
03:57 So here in Munding Hardin, we make sure that we have plant corners as a source of oxygen.
04:04 I really like the house.
04:06 The plants are not artificial.
04:09 Here in the bar, when you get to sit here, it's overlooking the mountains.
04:17 That is Sierra Madre Mountains.
04:19 So while you're talking to your friends, it's so refreshing that we can see the mountains.
04:26 This bar is multi-purpose also.
04:28 So inside, as you can see, we made shelves for utensils.
04:35 So we store our dining utensils here.
04:40 I think it's August or September.
04:43 We did falls here in the area.
04:45 And it was my first time here, I saw how beautiful it was.
04:48 And I told myself, "This is where I want to have a retirement house."
04:53 And I was praying so hard because I'm a prayerful person.
04:56 I said, "Lord, this is it. This is the gift I want for my 40th birthday."
05:01 Okay, so this is our dining area.
05:03 So the design is, of course, with the help of Pinterest.
05:11 There's a lot of engine search.
05:13 So this is my personal choice because it's very simple and yet elegant.
05:18 We also have lamps here.
05:21 Shopee finds.
05:22 So it just came from Shopee.
05:24 So I like the idea that it's like a nest.
05:27 But it's also very beautiful, especially the warm lights during the night.
05:32 The vibe is a bit romantic.
05:34 Actually, I am not financially prepared.
05:37 I really don't have a plan that this year I'll have a farmhouse.
05:42 No, nothing like that.
05:43 I just want that time is on my 40th birthday, I need to start somehow.
05:51 Villa Montejo has two rooms.
05:53 One is down here and the other is upstairs.
05:55 So this is our couple room.
05:57 This was really intended for my parents so that when they stay here,
06:10 because they're seniors, they won't have to go upstairs.
06:13 This couple room is small, but when you open the curtains,
06:17 you can see the view of the garden around plus the bamboo trees here on the side.
06:22 Okay, so let's proceed to our mini kitchen.
06:27 Okay, so this is our mini kitchen.
06:33 So it's just small because we are just a small family of four.
06:37 We also have here our breakfast nook area.
06:42 We don't have any future plans, not until we rented it because a lot of people are looking for amenities.
06:53 We have a lot of sore eyes around because our second phase of development is ongoing.
06:59 So from that house, we will build our mini pool
07:03 and over there will be some cottages and playground area for the kids.
07:12 Okay, so since we're done down here, let's go upstairs,
07:16 which is the favorite part of the house.
07:18 So here, you can see this rattan cabinet.
07:28 This one, during the pandemic, rattan is in.
07:32 So just to have a boho touch, our farmhouse.
07:36 So we have here the cabinet and of course, there are plants.
07:41 So since the house is a fusion of old and modern architecture,
07:47 we used a papice windows.
07:50 Come on, let's go upstairs.
07:53 Okay, so over here is our family room.
07:59 One big family room with lots of beds.
08:02 It doesn't have a partition because we intend not to block the view
08:07 because as you can see, we have a 180 degrees view of the Sierra Madre Mountains.
08:13 So over here, we have a daybed.
08:17 Here, we used the bigan bricks because I want to feel the old house in Bigan.
08:26 This papice windows is 100 years old, the seller said.
08:32 Because this one came from Tarlac.
08:34 I bought it during the pandemic when they decided to change the house which is 100 years old.
08:41 So over here is our living room.
08:45 So you can see that we have a touch of antiques.
08:50 So up here, we have our mini pantry and bar cart.
09:00 When I got it, I made it a mini store, Tindahan Ni One which is our honesty store.
09:07 So I just put my goodies there because the store is far.
09:11 If they don't have a house, at least they won't go out.
09:15 This is our entry of the bathroom.
09:21 So we have a laboratory here.
09:23 Of course, there's a plant there.
09:24 Forever in love with plants.
09:26 A big mirror.
09:28 This mirror is funny because the view reflects here.
09:32 So when you look at it, you can really see the view of the mountains.
09:35 So it's fun.
09:36 For me, it's refreshing.
09:38 So this is our bathroom.
09:39 It's not yet finished.
09:41 I want a bigger bathroom because I want a bathroom with a lot of plants.
09:47 Even our tiles are plants.
09:51 So over here, it's not yet finished.
09:54 I'll show it to you.
09:56 This is our...
09:57 Okay.
10:01 So from here, the view is so beautiful.
10:03 It's so relaxing.
10:04 We'll put our tub here.
10:07 So it's a mini jacuzzi.
10:10 Imagine yourself, you're in a hot tub.
10:13 And then with the view of the mountains.
10:16 And there are plants around you.
10:18 And the wind.
10:19 This is super windy, right?
10:21 So refreshing.
10:26 Okay.
10:26 So we're here in our coffee area.
10:29 So this is my favorite part of the house.
10:32 Because it's so refreshing and relaxing.
10:35 So when I want to be quiet and think, I go here.
10:41 This is my breakfast area.
10:44 I have my coffee here.
10:46 [Music]
10:56 So that is Php 200,000 for 1,854 square meter property.
11:03 So we're very lucky because if you compute, it's almost Php 100 per square meter.
11:08 The construction of the house, I initially started at Php 200,000.
11:16 Before I decided to loan Php 1,000,000.
11:20 So that I can finish it.
11:21 So more or less, it's Php 1,000,000++.
11:23 Okay, so that ends our house tour here in Villa Montejo Farmhouse.
11:28 Located at Villa Paraiso Rizal, Nevis, Ija.
11:31 For those who are interested for a vacation house rental.
11:35 You can like and follow Munting Hardin page.
11:39 We offer this farmhouse for overnight accommodation for as low as Php 3,500 up to Php 7,000.
11:48 Depending on the number of person who will stay here.
11:51 Thank you very much.
11:52 See ya!
