PH bags first bronze in AVC Challenge Cup

Having led a hastily-formed and youthful Alas Pilipinas to a historic bronze medal at the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup for Women feels surreal for team captain and national squad veteran setter Jia De Guzman. De Guzman and the national volleybelles defeated Australia, 25-23, 25-15, 25-7, in their battle for third place match on May 29, 2024, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum, where Alas also gave the Philippines its first bronze medal in any AVC tourney.
