00:13Audrey, it was 10 in the morning when President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. arrived here

00:19along with First Lady Lisa Marcos and the Philippine delegation here at Bandar Seri Bigawan in Brunei.

00:25After landing at Bandar Seri Bigawan International Airport, President Ferdinand R. Marcos went straight to Istana Nurul Iman,

00:32the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Hasanal Bolquilla.

00:36Today, President Ferdinand R. Marcos' two-day state visit began here.

00:40And earlier, President Ferdinand R. Marcos met with the Sultan of Brunei.

00:44On the first day of his visit, he was able to help the Sultan of Brunei in his official residence.

00:49After this, President Ferdinand R. Marcos was hoping to make a profit in the Philippine community where 25,000 Filipinos are living.

00:56President Ferdinand R. Marcos was also hoping to help the business sector here

01:00in order to strengthen the relationship between Brunei and the Philippines.

01:05Brunei and the Philippines are members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Association of Southeast Asian Nations,

01:17According to the government, President Ferdinand R. Marcos' visit will strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

01:23This is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos' commitment to improve the economy and provide jobs to Filipinos,

01:29as stated by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

01:32President Ferdinand R. Marcos' state visit is part of 40 years of bilateral relations between Brunei and the Philippines.

01:40President Ferdinand R. Marcos' state visit is in line with the official invitation of the Sultan of Brunei.
