Floreat mother and daughter warned to hide before fatal shooting in Perth’s western suburbs

It has been revealed a 63-year-old man, who shot dead a mother and her teenage daughter in their Perth home, was looking for his ex-partner. The gunman, who then killed himself, used a licensed firearm to carry out the attack.

00:47 Police say the man shot and killed the 59-year-old woman who was a good friend of his ex-partner.
00:53 Her 18-year-old daughter was also shot and rushed to Royal Perth Hospital but later died.
00:59 We're aware that police were on the street when the last shot was fired and we believe that last shot was the male taking his own life.
01:07 The man had a firearm licence and while he was known to police, they say there didn't appear to be a history of violence.
