00:02 - NHL hockey.
00:05 The reason we were not on last night
00:06 is because we went to game seven.
00:09 I probably shouldn't have.
00:10 As deep down inside,
00:11 I knew that the Vancouver Canucks were a lot of trouble
00:14 going into the arena.
00:16 I didn't have the same feeling.
00:17 Like I've been to other playoff games this year
00:19 or I was all fired up.
00:20 And oh, they're gonna win.
00:21 They're gonna win.
00:22 (laughs)
00:23 Last night was more like, well, they could win.
00:26 Maybe they could win.
00:28 Or Sealoff can steal the game and man, he nearly did.
00:31 What an incredible performance from that,
00:34 the 23 year old goalie.
00:34 Like that was just spectacular.
00:37 The first period saves that this kid was making,
00:40 but the Vancouver Canucks, too little, too late,
00:43 too many times in the series.
00:44 I think that's just the best way of putting it.
00:46 Too little, too late, too many times.
00:48 Right?
00:49 Like how many times in this series
00:50 did we see the Canucks get dominated?
00:53 And then in the last 10 minutes of the game,
00:55 they would just be like, you know, balls to the wall,
00:58 skates on fire and scoring a bunch of goals.
01:02 You can't survive like that.
01:04 You can, you know, you can extend life a little bit.
01:08 Look, they came back.
01:09 They were down four, one in the first game.
01:10 They came back with the wild comeback.
01:12 They came back against Nashville a couple of times.
01:16 You know, you live by the sword, you die by the sword.
01:18 It was just too little, too late.
01:20 But I tell you what, it was pretty crazy
01:22 when they scored that second goal last night.
01:24 And looking up, it was like, man,
01:26 there's still like four or five minutes left in this game.
01:29 Right?
01:30 But they just, they just couldn't get that third goal.
01:33 No excuses, 'cause as I stated, you know,
01:36 in the playoffs, people are gonna get hurt.
01:39 It is what it is.
01:40 It's a war of attrition and it's not fair.
01:43 It's not, it's not cool.
01:44 It's too bad, but that's why you have to have depth.
01:48 Right?
01:49 And the Canucks overcame not having Thatcher Demko.
01:53 Like Demko could not have played better than Silovs did.
01:56 Right?
01:57 And Silovs wasn't perfect all the time,
01:59 but goal tending wasn't a problem for the Vancouver Canucks.
02:02 Not having Brock Besser in the final game was.
02:05 That was just like the final, just sort of,
02:09 man, you know, you're losing your best goal scorer
02:11 right now, going into a game seven.
02:13 It was far from ideal.
