00:26 She says that working every day is good for her health.

00:31 She also wants to have a daycare, but it's expensive.

00:35 On Saturdays and Sundays, I go with my children to the UP.

00:41 I just spend my time here in our store.

00:46 We don't have money for a daycare.

00:48 Adelina and her family can benefit from House Bill 10362, which will allow daycare centers

00:58 in every barangay to be built for senior citizens.

01:02 Under the bill, Representative Milagros Aquino Magsaysay,

01:06 community-based daycare centers can be opened for senior citizens

01:12 for their educational, health and socio-cultural programs and services.

01:18 Some of the social services that daycare centers can provide are arts and crafts,

01:24 games, dancing, storytelling, and field trips and outings.

01:29 Some of the senior citizens we talked to are favorites.

01:33 Some seniors are being misled.

01:35 If it's true that daycare centers can be built for senior citizens, it's good.

01:41 But if there's a law that says that senior citizens can now earn a focal person in a barangay

01:47 that requires a budget for building daycare centers and additional expenses,

01:53 it also needs to be discussed well what condition of senior citizens can use the facility

02:00 and who will be responsible for their safety while there.

02:04 We need a responder, medical staff,

02:10 before they join the activities, you need to check their condition.

02:15 According to the Panokalan Batas, the budget for daycare centers will come from the local government unit.

02:22 The centers can also receive donations.

02:25 Although it's a good idea, some of the seniors we talked to said that there are other more important needs.
