00:00 The government assured the public that there will be no shortage of water supply to those living in Metro Manila and nearby areas
00:08 after the allocation for irrigation was reduced.
00:11 According to Environment Undersecretary Carlos Primo David,
00:14 the National Irrigation Administration or NIA will receive 1 cubic meter per second of water for irrigation.
00:21 David also said that they will help on May 15
00:25 to decide whether to continue the 50 cubic meters per second allocation for the Metropolitan Water Works and Sewerage System or MWSS
00:35 or to reduce the water coming from Angad Dam.
00:38 To continue that allocation, David explained that they need to reduce the allocation of irrigation.
00:44 But NIA expects more water from Angad Dam in the next few months due to plans for the contact growing of rice farmers.
00:55 Manila Water said that they will lower the water pressure in Magripo during off-peak season
01:01 from 10 pm to 4 am so that the limited supply can be extended.
