00:00 A man who's raised more than a million pounds for charity sporting just miniscule swimming
00:05 shorts has become a recipient of a Liverpool Citizen of Honour.
00:09 On Thursday, Michael Cullen, more popularly known as Speedo Mick, will be presented with
00:13 the honour at Liverpool Town Hall by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.
00:17 Mick's walked the length and breadth of the UK wearing little more than swimming trunks,
00:21 including a trek from Jonno Grotes to Land's End and has also swum the English Channel
00:26 and climbed four mountains.
00:28 He's been nominated for these mammoth fundraising efforts and his determination to complete
00:33 challenges despite having to battle through storms.
00:36 He's raised money for more than 120 organisations, including charities which support disadvantaged
00:42 young people and homeless, as well as mental health and wellbeing projects.
00:46 The Citizen of Honour recognises people who've made an exceptional contribution to enriching
00:50 the image of the city.
