00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for Fallout Season 1 easter
00:10eggs that may portend some interesting developments in Season 2.
00:14There are major spoilers ahead, Vault Dweller, so be warned.
00:25Number 10.
00:26Desert Rangers
00:35In the lore of Fallout, there are few denizens of the Wasteland with more grit, determination,
00:40and nobility than the Desert Rangers.
00:42Originally created as an independent outfit, the Rangers are part Texas Ranger, part Navy
00:47SEAL.
00:48Dedicated to the eradication of slavery, they were eventually grandfathered into the military
00:52structure of the New California Republic.
00:54Most importantly, they sport one of the coolest and most prized sets of armor in any of the
00:58Fallout games.
01:00Episode 7 of the Amazon series saw a pair of Wastelanders rocking the iconic NCR Ranger
01:04armor.
01:05Are we looking at Lucy's future look?
01:07Will she come face to face with the Rangers herself?
01:11Number 9.
01:13Side Quests
01:15One of the most well-known aspects of the Fallout games is the ease with which gamers
01:19can get lost in the side quest sauce.
01:21Anyone who has played the games knows the score.
01:23On your way to fulfill a quest, you get sidetracked by some Wasteland nonsense.
01:27The best joke in Season 1 was when Walton Goggins' Cooper Howard references the problem.
01:38Based on the way Season 1 played out, it's safe to assume that Lucy, Cooper, Maximus,
01:42and Norm will each get hung up on a side quest or two.
01:52Number 8.
01:53Vault 4 Vaults?
01:54One of the most interesting scenes in Fallout took place during a Cooper Howard flashback.
02:06In it, Cooper eavesdrops on a meeting between the CEOs of America's largest megacorporations.
02:22Vault-Tec offers them each their own Vaults.
02:29We hear these various old-world CEOs talking about their sick and twisted plans for their
02:33own Vault experiments.
02:35Some were easter eggs for Vaults that players have traversed in the games, while others
02:38were new.
02:39In the show, we saw how Vault 31 used social manipulation to control Vaults 31 and 34.
02:45We also saw some of the twisted biological experiments of Vault 4.
02:48What horrors does Vault-Tec have in store in Fallout Season 2?
03:07Number 7.
03:08The Vault Water Chip In Episode 1 of Fallout, Lucy's wedding
03:17is used as a pretext for the invasion of Vault 33.
03:20Muldaver and her raiders kidnap Overseer Hank after killing and wreaking havoc on the Vault.
03:25In Episode 3, Norm McLean and the remaining Vault dwellers discover the extent of the
03:28damage.
03:38The Water Chip has been damaged, leaving the Vault with only a few months of water remaining.
03:42This is a reference to the original Fallout game, where you play as a citizen of Vault
03:4513 traversing the wasteland in search of a new Water Chip.
03:55Could Season 2 see Norm replicating that storyline by leaving the Vault?
03:59Number 6.
04:00Where Is My Family?
04:11Over the course of Season 1, we get a glimpse at the lead-up to the Great War through Cooper's
04:15flashbacks.
04:16His wife was an executive at Vault-Tec, conspiring to bring about a nuclear holocaust.
04:26We also know that he worked with Muldaver to try and stop it.
04:29There is still much to flesh out about Cooper and Muldaver's relationship, and to just
04:32what happened to Barb and Janie Howard.
04:35Cooper seems to think his wife and daughter ended up in a Vault somewhere.
04:38Could they be among Vault-Tec executives in Cryostasis and Vault 31?
04:42Are they somewhere else?
04:43It seems certain that Season 2 will see the ghoul make progress in the 200-year search
04:47for his family.
04:54Number 5.
04:55More Factions, War Never Changes
05:09In the universe of Fallout, there is one universal truth.
05:12Factions come and go, but conflict reigns supreme.
05:14That being said, with the green light of Season 2, we can expect to delve deeper into the
05:18lore of Fallout.
05:19Will we see Shady Sands and the NCR before Hank's bomb?
05:22Will we see remnants of the NCR trying to rebuild?
05:35Based on the show's darker take on the Brotherhood of Steel, will we discover how this chapter
05:38was corrupted?
05:40There are fan theories out there that perhaps it is simulated or was infiltrated by Kaiser's
05:44Legion.
05:45Whatever the truth, it's a safe bet that Season 2 will deliver more backstory and may also
05:48give us all a few new factions pulled from the games.
05:58Number 4.
05:59RobCo, WestTek, BigMT, and RepCon
06:03Season 1 irrevocably changed the lore of the Fallout universe.
06:07a conspiracy theory between the world's largest companies to bring about a nuclear holocaust.
06:21Four corporations joined Vault-Tek's scheme.
06:24RobCo was the source of the world's robots.
06:26WestTek was an arms manufacturer and helped create super mutants.
06:34But fans of Fallout New Vegas will recognize RepCon, an aerospace company, and BigMT, a
06:40think tank and defense contractor.
06:42In the Old World Blues DLC, the heads of BigMT turn themselves into immortal RoboBrains running
06:47sick experiments on denizens of the wasteland.
06:49A RoboBrain appeared in Episode 8, so can we expect more in Season 2?
06:54Will Lucy and Cooper's search lead them to the RoboBrain think tank at BigMT?
07:04Number 3.
07:05The Enclave
07:11The information stored in Dr. Wilzig's head was the big MacGuffin everyone was chasing
07:15down.
07:16At the end of Episode 1, we learn that Wilzig was an escapee of the Enclave.
07:20Introduced in Fallout 2, the Enclave is a faction claiming to represent the last remnants
07:23of the U.S. government.
07:33While potentially true in part, ultimately they're a fascist organization looking to
07:37dominate the wasteland and eradicate mutated humans and abominations.
07:41They were the primary baddies in both Fallout 2 and 3.
07:44Will Wilzig's disappearance lead to them showing up in Season 2?
07:47If so, we can expect the show to introduce their favorite armaments, plasma weapons.
07:52Expect to see some people and monsters turned into piles of bright green goo.
08:00Number 2.
08:01More Monsters
08:09For those unfamiliar with the games, Season 1 limited itself when it came to mutated abominations.
08:14Feral and speaking ghouls played a significant role and a Yagwai took down Night Titus.
08:18Our heroes even took down a finger-mouthed Gulper.
08:21But fans of the games note that there is a rogues gallery of monstrous baddies lying
08:24in wait out there in the wasteland.
08:26Season 1 hinted at a few.
08:28There was a blink and you'll miss it shot foreshadowing one of the most dangerous enemies
08:31in Fallout, Super Mutants.
08:39Deathclaws 2 may make an appearance.
08:41At the very end of Episode 8, Hank steps on a Deathclaw skull as he traverses the Mojave.
08:45Fans of the show should look forward to seeing Lucy fight both types of hulking baddies.

09:19New Vegas
09:24Season 1 left its biggest twist for the very last shot of the season.
09:28After barely escaping with his life, an exhausted Hank traverses the desert, pausing to gaze
09:32at his destination, New Vegas.
09:34The city provides a backdrop to what is widely considered to be one of the best Fallout games
09:37of all time.
09:39Since Hank's nuking of Shady Sands represented a change to the lore of Fallout, we don't
09:43know for sure how Amazon's take on New Vegas will look.
09:45Will Mr. House and his army of robots be Season 2's big bad?
09:59Or will Lucy, Cooper and Maximus have to fight Kaiser's Legion over control of Hoover Dam?
10:04The possibilities are almost endless, promising to both excite and infuriate fans of the 2010
10:09game.
10:10Did we leave out any important easter eggs from
10:28Season 1 of Fallout?
