00:00 So their next events in Houston, and if you ever watched the Houston Open, the golf course
00:10 that comes to mind is where they always played it over the last 20, 30 years, it seemed like
00:16 that course that was called Redstone, that is now the golf club of Houston.
00:20 That's where they're playing.
00:21 So there's another event that's like, okay, the audience and just the general golf fans,
00:27 when they turn the TV on, they're like, oh yeah, I've seen this golf course.
00:31 So there's a little bit of familiarity there.
00:34 And they've done that with a couple places, Mayakoba, Greenbrier, and I'm sure there's
00:38 a couple more that I'm missing.
00:40 Balderrama in Spain.
00:42 Balderrama in Spain, but that's like a, that's not a PGA tour course, but to your, you know,
00:49 just generally speaking here, I think there are, there is a lot of golf courses in which
00:55 the golf fans familiar, but I will say that Point Brook, the golf club that I'm not familiar
01:02 with in Chicago seems to be a very odd choice that they kind of needed a, like a bang going
01:11 out.
01:12 It's like, Hey, we're going to a big city.
01:13 We're getting a big time venue.
01:15 That seemed to be like, this had to be probably the last option I would imagine for them to
01:21 settle in on this place that I'm not familiar with.
01:23 It could be great.
01:24 I could be speaking at a turn here.
01:26 I'm sure Chicago people are like, wait, this is sick.
01:28 But I think of Chicago golf club, I think of Medina, like these are legit venues that
01:33 people know about.
01:35 I know nothing about this place.
01:36 I'm sure it'd be a great hot dog and a great beer and a great 18 holes, but I don't know
01:42 anything about it.
01:43 So I think that just like, just kind of tied a bow on the strategy that live golf executives
01:51 and their team trying to figure out a schedule.
01:54 And this has kind of gone back in the last couple of years of it's, it's kind of been
01:59 a bit all over the place.
02:00 Like Brooks Koepka evens like, when's our schedule coming out?
02:03 It seems like they've been a little off the ball on trying to figure out exactly where
02:08 we're going to play.
02:10 You know what the whole thing has been about.
02:12 Let's play global, let's grow the game, but it's just not hitting, you know, like these
02:17 events that are out of, out of the country or just not getting besides, besides Australia
02:24 and Adelaide, which was a huge hit, right?
02:26 Charlie, like that to me was like a massive win, but even the events in like the United
02:31 Kingdom where they played at, uh, what's the golf course that they played?
02:36 It seemed like a Centurion, the one in London.
02:39 Yeah.
02:40 Yes.
02:41 I've, I've, I watched that first one, the crowds or whatever.
02:43 So I don't know.
02:44 I get like, you need to grow the game.
02:46 You need to keep playing in other places, but it seems like it needs to fall, fall in
02:52 that same formula of Adelaide in which you need to go to places that you know, they're
02:57 going to be big hits.
02:58 And right now, like, it seems like they're just kind of going to where either maybe where
03:02 the dollar bills are.
03:04 Cause I've heard that Singapore was like funded by like, like visit Singapore or something
03:09 like that.
03:10 So maybe they're doing things to try to increase their ROI on all this.
03:15 I don't know.
03:16 I love the business model that they have, but it seems like the schedule in which they
03:19 picked your, uh, original, uh, just kind of point that you were making.
03:24 Yes.
03:25 It's just been a bit all over the place.
03:28 Yeah.
03:29 Yeah.
03:30 Yeah.
03:30 (upbeat music)
