00:06As the Princess of Wales continues to battle cancer, one of the couple's go-to designers,

00:11Amaya Arrieta, says that she's keeping the royal family in her thoughts.

00:15She tells The Telegraph in an interview published May 2,

00:18I'm heartbroken at the moment.

00:20I think they are going through hell.

00:22I hope they will be back.

00:23It's really personal.

00:25Amaya went on to explain how honored she feels to have helped dress the royals ever

00:29since Prince George wore her brand's Amaya Corduroy shorts in a 2014 Christmas photo.

00:36More recently, Princess Charlotte was pictured in her label's checked skirt in the Mother's

00:39Day photo that sparked an editing controversy.

00:43The designer tells The Telegraph,

00:45Dressing the royals gives me so much pride.

00:47I really do care about how they look.

00:49They have put the traditional and classic way of dressing children on the map.

00:53Kate and her kids, George, Charlotte and Prince Louis, have remained out of the spotlight

00:58for the most part ever since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

01:02In March, the 42-year-old explained in a video that further testing showed an unspecified

01:07type of cancer had been present.

01:10This of course came as a huge shock.

01:13And William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately

01:17for the sake of our young family.

01:20As you can imagine, this has taken time.

01:23It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.

01:28But most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte

01:33and Louis in a way that's appropriate for them and to reassure them that I'm going to be okay.

01:39As I've said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things

01:44that will help me heal in my mind, body and spirits.

01:48Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too.

01:53This is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you.

01:57It means so much to us both.

02:00The Prince and Princess of Wales recently shared a photo of Princess Charlotte to celebrate

02:04her ninth birthday.

02:05In the caption, it was revealed that Kate herself had snapped the image.

02:09In the meantime, William has been making occasional public appearances, including at the grand

02:14opening of James Place Newcastle on April 30th, where he told well-wishers that his

02:19wife and children were, quote, all doing well.
