00:00country superstar Kelsey ballerini is making her debut

00:04as a coach on this season of the voice, she's joining some

00:09of our favorites and Levine Michael Bublé and of course

00:12John legend good out there to get a look at that. The

00:15knockout rounds kicking off this Monday on our sister

00:17network NBC so we sat down with Kelsey to hear all about it.

00:22It's been an actual coach, this is different so I think I

00:30I think the thing I was most nervous about is making sure

00:32that I was able to hold my own with the other coaches that I

00:35grew up on and now I'm gonna have to fight 3 of my favorite

00:39artists for this artist and that was like a really weird

00:43head trip, but I I got my bearings don't you worry.

00:46How does it feel sitting in that chair, I feel so powerful

00:49here to win and here to find great music and I'm here to put

00:52these boys in their place, I'm learning so much, I'm so proud

00:55of the people that are here that talent is amazing so are

01:00we hanging out with them and the other coaches like outside

01:03of the show we all are very busy. But it's really sweet we

01:08have a group chat we're always talking about like all send

01:10pictures of the dog still some pictures of her kids looking

01:13fans expect from the knockout rounds, the knockouts oh gosh

01:16they were they were really intense, I mean we all got to

01:19steal someone which I can speak for me I got to steal someone

01:23that I I fought for the whole season so far.

01:29Have any coaches from this season or from past seasons did

01:33you reach out to any of them for advice I reach out to

01:35Kelly, I'm in love with Kelly Clarkson like I love her so

01:37much. And she's become like a sister and a friend and she I

01:42think is really given a lot of people grace that are you know

01:45forward facing people like that's okay to not always have

01:49the polish like the be funny be like mess something up it's

01:53human and like let that be normal so I think that's given

01:56me a little bit more of a an inner peace going into this

01:59pool of the coaches from this season. Would you most want to

02:04collaborate with on music, I don't mean I'm a huge Maroon

02:07fire fan, he's constantly evolved in.
