00:10Hubli city is in Karnataka and is a part of the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency, which

00:18This seat is, it has about 18 lakh voters, with the majority of Lingayat voters, who
00:23are the deciding, who are the people who decide the kingmakers of this place.
00:30Lingayats are a strong voter base in Hubli Dharwad, as well as in other parts of Karnataka.
00:35And Lingayats have traditionally voted for the BJP.
00:39This time BJP has fielded its sitting MP, Mr. Prahlad Joshi, who has been a four-time
00:44MP and has held the seat since 2004.
00:47Today we followed him on his campaign trail and we visited certain Lingayat Maths with
00:52him, as well as certain villages in this area.
