Lying and politics have sadly often been two words that go hand in hand. Trust in politicians goes up and down, but it’s never truly high. Westminster have been at the centre of a number of scandals in recent years, and the Senedd could take it into their own hands to make lying illegal for serving politicians, in what is believed to be the first law of its kind anywhere in the world.

01:24how you would prove that they lied, as opposed to merely deviating from the truth.
01:31So what's a lie, and how would it be enforced, and what are the sanctions, would be my questions.
01:39You can have laws, but whether they implement it is a different matter.
01:43There's ways around every law if they really want to look for it.
01:50I don't know exactly how exactly you'd take care of it,
01:53but anything to stop them from lying at all is probably the best view for me.
