00:00Jimmy, 2-0 win against Tooting and Mitcham tonight and you're now just one game away from that big league run.
00:07Yeah, after a long couple of weeks it seems the boys are putting a real shift again tonight.
00:12I think the first 15 minutes we controlled the game. I think it was obvious that Tooting had come to sit in and try and catch us on the counter.
00:19And I think we, after 15 minutes, were really happy. And then we lost our way a little bit, I think.
00:25They went down to 10 men. Simbin, that's correct. And then we just seemed to force it a little bit more.
00:31And the two 10s, the Flapman role and the Rule role, was vitally important for us in there.
00:36And they tended to go a little bit too high, too quick. And I felt our shape didn't warrant leading at all.
00:42And then we managed to get them back in and Flapman picking up in that 10 position and scored from outside the area, which was a good finish.
00:48And then we sort of found our way a little bit. But Santam, at half-time, it was a little bit disappointing in terms of us not keeping our shape
00:55and just being that little bit too eager, a little bit too keen to score. But I've never felt a threat from them.
01:01I don't think they didn't get enough bodies close to their forward after when they won the ball back.
01:05So we were quite comfortable in that area. But yeah, applaud it to the boys.
01:09Yeah, it was a really quiet night for Pat tonight, really, wasn't it?
01:11We were saying that just a minute ago, funny enough. I can't remember him actually doing anything, borrowing a couple of crosses here and there.
01:17But I think we were just in that, Rawley, with that second goal, really allowed us to relax and just see the game out and sort of manage the legs for Saturday.
01:28Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it was a really good bit of play from Rawley there, just sort of drinking.
01:31Do you know what? He's got that. He's unbelievable in them. He's got this ability to just drift past players when they're not even there.
01:37So he's got that in him. And it's good to see that he got on the score sheet tonight.
01:42Yeah, and obviously, too nearly able to make three subs again and just, I guess, keep people fresh, really, isn't it?
01:48Massively. So the hardest one for me was obviously Owen Dean because he's obviously chasing that golden boot and he's fully deserved.
01:54And just trying to explain to him that we're just resting your legs for Saturday and a big cup final.
01:59And he fully deserves to be in that cup final. And yeah, obviously, they're frustrated because he wants to be out there and scoring goals.
02:06Yeah, but it's just allowed us to sort of swing it around and sort of put Kai in and gave a few bodies, give Flatman a rest and Kixi a well-deserved rest as well,
02:14just to give us that little bit of an edge on Saturday.
02:17And final home game of the season. Just good to wrap up?
02:20Yeah, it's been wonderful. You know, this has been, you see our results and our goals scored here and goals, again, we've not conceded a lot here at all.
02:31It's been a real fortress. I think we've made it and credit to the fans coming out again tonight.
02:35But it's been, yeah, really, really been a really enjoyable season. So yeah, look forward to the next one.
02:42It's obviously been a gruelling run and it's just a bit of a quirk that it's tooting again to sort of finish up.
02:46Yeah, it's bizarre. It's bizarre. At one point I thought he was going to get called off with the referee putting an issue with his ankle or something.
02:56But it was, yeah, it got them again. It'd be interesting to see how they set up again.
03:00But it's a nice, it's a nice crowd over there. Boys should, it's quite a big pitch over there.
03:05So I think that would help. But yeah, just one more to go sitting there, one more to go.
03:10And then we've got a cup final to enjoy.
03:12Yeah, I think it was one of the tooting media people.
03:15Correct. Yeah, he's actually got his referee licence. So we was quite happy.
03:18Listen, it was nice for him to volunteer for that. And yeah, he's done a reasonably good job.
03:24We just didn't want him refereeing, that was all. So yeah, thankfully he was there and we could just finish the game off.
03:29I'd say obviously now 105 points and it's just one more for that zero.
03:33That is it. I think Jono's been mentioning that for a while now.
03:37And we want to sort of obviously such a shame that he's not about at the minute to experience it.
03:40But we're doing that for him and making sure that he was watching it tonight.
03:44And yeah, keeping that zero is vitally important. Yeah, fully deserved if we do.
03:49And then obviously that big cup final on Wednesday.
03:52Us winning the league and obviously the zero is important as well.
03:56But ending it with a cup final just makes it icing on the cake, especially if we can get it over the line.
04:01But a big job to do against a Step 4 side.
04:04Yeah, South Park, yeah. It'll be a good test.
04:07It will be a good test. It'd be nice to see where we're at and compare it.
04:13But obviously a little bit where the boys have played so many games recently, we've got to really recover well.
04:18The boys, after Saturday's game especially, they've got to really look after their bodies and prepare well for Wednesday.
