Reggie Jackson played basketball in Paul George's backyard during quarantine
Transcript
00:00 When the NBA was postponed in March, a lot of players were in a lot of different situations.
00:06 Reggie Jackson on the LA Clippers is an interesting case because he was just traded to the team
00:11 on February 20th.
00:12 Within 19 days, COVID shut the NBA down.
00:16 He didn't even have enough time to buy a place yet.
00:19 And what's kind of comical is he stayed in a hotel room and he lived in a hotel room
00:24 the entire four months of quarantine.
00:27 And because of that, he didn't really get to dribble a ball or do anything.
00:31 And so what he said he did on a conference call with Sports Illustrated was that he dribbled
00:36 in a hotel room, but there was nobody underneath him.
00:38 So he was able to dribble the ball without getting yelled at.
00:42 Now what I think is the most interesting thing that he said on that call was that he played
00:45 basketball in Paul George's second LA home.
00:49 He would just go to Paul George's house when he wasn't home and no one was home and play
00:53 basketball in the backyard.
00:55 And the two of them are practically best friends with each other.
00:58 So it lets you know just the level of camaraderie the two have.
01:02 And I think what will be most fun is once the season is over, you're going to hear all
01:06 these crazy stories about how people played basketball during quarantine because they're
01:11 all technically breaking the rules.
01:13 There have already been stories about like the Lakers playing in a mansion that a fan
01:18 owns.
01:19 And I think as things go on, you're going to hear some really, really funny stories
01:23 similar to Reggie Jackson's.
