00:00After reportedly testing positive for the coronavirus on July 4th,
00:03L.A. Clippers sharpshooter Landry Schamett is almost finished with his 14-day quarantine.
00:08The 23-year-old guard shared a picture of himself on Instagram on Saturday night,
00:11along with a caption that reads,
00:13Quarantine almost over,
00:14followed by two hourglass emojis.
00:16Initially, there was some fear among fans that Schamett wouldn't be joining the team in Orlando
00:20due to his positive test,
00:22but this seems to indicate that he will make the trip down soon after he clears quarantine.
00:26Given the timing of the situation and the fact that Schamett must remain in his room for 48 hours
00:30until he arrives on campus to make sure that the virus is gone
00:33and he is able to have a positive test,
00:35he probably won't play in Wednesday's scrimmage to Orlando Magic.
00:38That said, Schamett could certainly make his debut on Saturday
00:41in L.A.'s second scrimmage game against the Washington Wizards.
00:44On top of that, the second game will be televised and the first will not,
00:48so even if Schamett isn't available for that first game,
00:50we wouldn't know anyway.
00:52At the very least, Schamett should be available for the Clippers' first seeding game,
00:56a meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 30th.
00:59Even though it's only his second game in the league,
01:01Schamett is a key contributor for the Clippers' team.
01:03He's appeared in 47 games and made 27 starts this season,
01:07posting averages of nearly 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists
01:11in just 28 minutes per game.
01:13Schamett's also one of the league's most consistent three-point shooters.
01:16He's making nearly 40% of his 5.7 attempts per game from deep this season,
01:21two marks that rank only behind Paul George on the team.
01:24As it stands, Schamett is one of three players that haven't been to the Clippers yet in Orlando,
01:28along with Ibiza's Zubats and Marcus Morris.
01:31It's unknown if and when those players will arrive on campus,
01:34but if they do, we will have it here for you.
