LA Clippers forward JaMychal Green says building chemistry and conditioning will be the biggest early challenges of the restart.

00:06Lakeside is able to set the whole thing up and keep everything well managed, but according
00:10to other Clippers forwards Michael Green, the players have to go through a fair bit
00:12of difficulty as well.
00:13On a comment to the Porters on Wednesday, Green explained what could be wild with Clippers
00:18resembling the team we last saw in March.
00:20As far as challenges go, Green simply mentioned conditioning and chemistry, saying, quote,
00:24I feel like we're just getting stronger as a team, we're hitting on all cylinders.
00:28But it's a minor setback, it's just like a fresh new start for us.
00:31Everybody is healthy, so that's great.
00:32We just gotta get it back going.
00:34And Green is right here.
00:36The suspension of the season couldn't have come at a worse time for LA.
00:39The team played nine games after the All-Star break 4th was shut down, and managed to go
00:437-2 with impressive wins over the Nuggets, 76ers, Thunder, and Houston Rockets.
00:48Moreover, LA's 12.2 net rating in that stretch was the highest in the league.
00:52Clippers' first scrimmage game will take place on July 22nd, which is a week from today.
00:56This doesn't leave much time for the team to get familiar with each other once again.
00:59I add in the fact that Demetri Zubat, Lenny Schammett, and Marcus Morris still aren't

01:04It's hard to see why Green believes building chemistry will be a challenge.
01:07The length of the suspension was about as long as a normal offseason is, so that's
01:11something to consider.
01:12But during those times, players are also free to go to gyms, play pickup games with teammates,
01:17engage in just about any basketball activity they want to.
01:19None of that was possible during this hiatus.
01:22So while LA might not look exactly as you remember, once the season officially restarts
01:25on July 30th, in time, the Clippers will return to form, hopefully before competition gets
01:30too stiff.
