00:00 We're now about a week into the NBA restart. At this point, it's difficult to ignore what the league has done to advance the conversation on social justice.
00:08 Teams have been known to national anthem "Black Lives Matter" painted on the court, and many players have chosen to replace the last name on their jersey with a social justice statement instead.
00:17 Clippers' big man, Ibiza's Zubac, is among that group, and he's running the phrase "enough" with this jersey right now, and he didn't get a chance to explain why he's doing so until Wednesday afternoon on a Zoom conference with the Porters.
00:28 "I'm grateful I got a chance to give support to my teammates and the African American community. Choosing 'enough' - it's enough of all this happened to the community.
00:37 It's time after so many years that everyone should get equal opportunity, and there shouldn't be one side getting more than the other one.
00:42 It's just everyone should be equal. It's enough of the killings that are happening. Please retaliate," all that kind of stuff.
00:47 Zubac is one of 12 players on the team wearing a statement on the back of their jersey, including guys like Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, and Joaquin Noah.
00:55 The most popular phrases on the team right now are "how many more," "equality," and "I am a man."
01:00 There are two players wearing each one of those phrases. Other phrases on the team that are being worn include "Black Lives Matter," "education reform," and "justice."
01:08 Joaquin Noah is the one wearing "justice." He took to Instagram recently to address that decision to wear that, saying, "This is not a political statement. This is about basic human rights."
01:18 While LA and the NBA are focused on winning a championship and crowning a champion this year, it is clear that Clippers and the rest of the league want to be equally involved in keeping the focus on what's going on outside of the bubble rather than in it.
