00:00You know, we'll probably do more things like I used to before, you know, more movement
00:08and things like that.
00:09How much of that, because we've heard this for a few years now, but do you prefer a mobile
00:20quarterback?
00:21How much of that?
00:22I've heard that too, you know.
00:23I prefer a winning quarterback.
00:24You don't have to be mobile.
00:25I believe that guy in New England won a lot, he's not very mobile.
00:27Is that where the league is going?
00:28Well, no doubt.
00:29No doubt.
00:30I mean, I studied high school football.
00:31I love high school football.
00:32I'm coming from the state of Texas, obviously.
00:33But if you just study high school football, you know the direction of the National Football
00:34League down the road.
00:35I mean, all those quarterbacks are athletes now.
00:36And they pass year-round in these 7-on-7 camps.
00:37So now you have athletes that are really good passers.
00:38And you can do so many things with that.
00:39But you have a handful of quarterbacks that can still win from the pocket.
00:40Anthony, I'm going to ask you a question.
00:41I'm going to ask you a question.
00:42I'm going to ask you a question.
00:43I'm going to ask you a question.
00:44I'm going to ask you a question.
00:45I'm going to ask you a question.
00:46I'm going to ask you a question.
00:47I'm going to ask you a question.

00:52I'm going to ask you a question.
00:53I'm going to ask you a question.
00:54I'm going to ask you a question.
00:55I'm going to ask you a question.
00:56I'm going to ask you a question.
00:57I'm going to ask you a question.
00:58I'm going to ask you a question.
00:59I'm going to ask you a question.
01:00I'm going to ask you a question.

01:03I'm going to ask you a question.
01:04I'm going to ask you a question.
01:05I'm going to ask you a question.
01:06I don't know.
01:07Just rumors, I guess.
01:08I don't know.
01:09Our options are on the table for us, though.

05:49He's a leader.
05:50He's a leader.
05:51He's a leader.
05:52He's a leader.
05:53He's a leader.
05:54He's a leader.
05:55He's a leader.
05:56I think defensively, I think you can look to see us be a little more disruptive.
06:01You know, we were.
06:02We didn't take the ball away as much as we have in the past.
06:06And I think it was 32nd in takeaways and 31st in giveaways.
06:09That's a terrible combination, and so we need to get better in that area.
06:13So disruptive, does that mean you're going to blitz more?
06:16Well, I mean, possibly.
06:18But disruptive could mean just putting guys in different positions to do different things.
06:23things.
06:28Well that's always going to be checks and balances, risk and rewards.
06:30So you know, chances are you may give up more explosives.
06:35We thank the second best team in the league in giving up the least amount of explosive
06:39plays.
06:40But now if you do do other things to become more disruptive, you may give up more explosive
06:44plays.
06:45But we have to figure out, like I say, those checks and balances.
06:47When you're playing that team, you can't have enough speed.
06:58But I tell you, I thought when our defense played Kansas City the last few years, I thought
07:02the defense has played well.
07:04I think our defense have played Kansas City as good as anybody.
07:08We just we have turned the ball over.
07:11Yeah, talk to Mike last week.
07:15He's fired up man.
07:16Well, I hope so.
07:20You know, he has not been clear yet, but he feels good and he's excited about the plan.
07:31It's hard to put a timetable on that type of injury.
07:34It's hard.
07:35So we're going to take care of Mike.
07:36And when Mike's ready, we'll put him back on the field.
07:43Well, absolutely.
07:44Yeah, absolutely.
07:45He's on the roster for sure.
07:46You know, he's on the roster until he can't.
07:55I think Dan Finney would be an excellent center.
07:57He was going to be our center before we got Mike.
07:59Mike came available late and we jumped on that because he's such a good player.
08:02But Dan Finney can definitely play center.
08:09Absolutely.
08:18Justin is a good one-two punch.
08:19You know, before Melvin came back, I thought Justin was running the ball, doing a good job.
08:23You know, he has probably the best instincts in the backfield right now.
08:27I have a lot of confidence in Justin.
08:29He's just got to stay healthy.
08:32Coach, any quarterbacks here in the mid-north?
08:38Yeah, there's a few quarterbacks here that will catch my eye, I'm sure.
08:42You know, there's a lot of good players in this draft.
08:44Anyone in particular?
08:46All of them.
08:48What are your expectations for Naz?
08:57You know, Naz has got to get healthy.
08:59You know, he kind of got a red shirt last year.
09:01And some guys need that when they come to this league.
09:04And hopefully sitting out last year, watching and having some veterans mentor him a little bit will help him.
09:11Because if he can get back on the field and healthy, this young man has a lot of potential.
09:16Is he healthy now as far as you're concerned?
09:20He's running around right now and he's feeling good.
09:24Yeah.
09:26I think it's very important.
09:30You know, Hunter Henry will want to be back.
09:32I think he's one of the better combo tight ends in the game as far as running and blocking and receiving.
09:39And just what he brings to our locker room.
09:41His character, his work ethic.
09:43And, I mean, big.
09:47How important is adding depth to that position?
09:50I mean, you have Bert Green there.
09:52I think you had Hendricks.
09:53Yeah.
09:54Some older guys.
09:55You know, we have some guys, practice squad guys last year that we were working really well with that are developing, coming along fine.
10:02It wouldn't hurt if there was someone available there to get a little more depth there, whether it's free agency or the draft.
10:08But it's a position that, you know, we could get more depth.
10:12How do you feel about your linebacker group overall?
10:15I'd like to have more depth there at the linebacker group, without a doubt.
10:19I think Denzel is one of the better mics in this game when he stays on the field.
10:22I love the way Drew came in and played the rookie last year.
10:25You know, he's a natural leader.
10:28He was a two-time captain at Notre Dame.
10:29I think he'll eventually be a captain for us.
10:31But he stayed on the field.
10:33He played well.
10:34Do you see Drew staying at that mic spot?
10:37Drew can play mic real well.
10:39You know, he has that flexibility.
10:43What about Thomas Davis?
10:44Do you plan on him coming back?
10:46Right now, Thomas is on the roster, you know.
10:48And he was hurt last year a lot.
10:50Played through it, though.
10:52You know, he's a savvy veteran.
10:53But I tell you, I mean, he runs around like a little kid out there.
10:56And love his leadership and his intangibles.
10:59Just got to get him healthy.
11:01Do you see Qazir staying at the same spot?
11:04I believe so.
11:05Qazir, naturally, we liked him inside.
11:07I thought he did a good job there as rookie year.
11:09But with his knee injury, we think it's best to leave him outside.
11:12As a Sam or the Otto.
11:14Because you don't get as many reps in base defense anymore.
11:17So that takes some of the pressure off of him.
11:19Did you realize that sort of early on in the season?
11:21Because he was playing some mic on the first two games?
11:24No, the plan all along was to put him at the Otto position.
11:29How do you evaluate Jerry Tillery's potential for growth?
11:32I think Jerry Tillery has a lot of potential for growth.
11:35And I thought you saw that last year, about the last month of the season.
11:38I like what Jerry did.
11:42All right.
11:44Good? All right.
