2020 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Odds

Sports Illustrated breaks down the odds for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

00:06So, will Chase Young be the third?

00:08Let's find out what Jamie Eisner and Frank Taddeo say regarding what the sportsbooks

00:13have Young and some of the other rookies that just got drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.

00:19Chase Young, is he the odds-on favorite?

00:21Yeah, he is the favorite at plus 350 right now at FanDuel Sportsbooks, so three and a

00:26half to one odds.

00:28He'd probably be my pick there.

00:29Saks typically win this award.

00:31He's going to get every opportunity to play right away.

00:34And on a defensive line, a defensive front seven has a lot of first-round pedigree in

00:39Washington.

00:40But a couple other names to kind of keep in mind for long shots.

00:42One I like at 26 to 1, Trevon Diggs of the Dallas Cowboys.

00:45Again, another guy that he's a corner, but he's going to start right away on day one.

00:51A couple other top 10 picks end up being the odds-on favorite to win this award.

00:58I actually really love Isaiah Simmons.

00:59I think he's in a perfect spot.

01:01The Arizona Cardinals have made tremendous movement and changes to their roster.

01:06This via Fury Agency, bringing in DeAndre Hopkins, also via trade.

01:11And right now, I mean, this team is on the upswing.

01:13Kyle Murray is going to be right there.

01:15And Isaiah Simmons is going to get a chance on defense for this team to shine.

01:19A lot of spotlight is going to be on this team.

01:23And odds of 8.5 to 1, nearly 10 to 1 odds.

01:27I mean, right now, for me, sign me up.

01:29Isaiah Simmons is a freak athlete.

01:31He's going to be tremendous.

01:32He can play on all levels of the defense.

01:36This kid is really going to be able to be a game changer.

01:39And I think he's going to put up the stats worthy of this award.

01:42So for me, the play is on Simmons.

01:45Lock in some of these options now, because these odds are sure to change.

01:49And right now, you're getting favorable odds for a lot of the guys that Frank and Jamie

01:52mentioned.
