00:00 Brady and the Tampa Bay Gronkineers were the story of the NFL schedule release.
00:05 And for more, I'm joined by our Jimmy Trena, who has analyzed the entire thing.
00:10 Jimmy, let's start with Tampa.
00:12 Were you surprised or did you expect what you got with their schedule?
00:17 I thought you might have gotten maybe one more primetime game in there.
00:21 They got five, but Fox and CBS, they're going to fight hard to keep the Bucs
00:25 in that Sunday 425 spot all year.
00:29 So the five number is not surprising to me.
00:32 With five primetime games, you're going to see them, you know, 12 other times,
00:38 425 on Sunday, basically.
00:40 You know, you've got a couple of one o'clock games, but they're going to be a staple at 425 on Sundays.
00:46 You know, I actually like when the big games are on Sunday afternoon.
00:49 But meanwhile, Monday Night Football has been a, you know, talking point for a while,
00:53 given the quality of games.
00:55 What did you grade their schedule?
00:57 I give them a B.
00:58 It's better than it's been in years, a lot better, actually.
01:02 And they got very lucky.
01:04 Week three, they get Ravens Chiefs, which is obviously, as everyone knows,
01:09 Lamar Jackson against Patrick Mahomes.
01:12 So big, big, big rating there in week three for ESPN coming.
01:16 Are the clear top teams, as far as interest in your mind, you just mentioned the Chiefs,
01:21 the Ravens, the Buccaneers, and then, of course, the Cowboys?
01:24 Well, in terms of interest, I think it's the Bucs more than anyone this year.
01:28 But in terms of what's always going to deliver a rating,
01:31 there's nobody better than the Cowboys.
01:33 They're still -- no matter what they do, they generate the big ratings.
01:37 Chiefs, you know, Saints, you know, offensive teams,
01:41 the Patriots are an interesting one this year,
01:43 because I think there's interest in what they're going to do.
01:46 I'm not sure, though, that people are going to watch Jared Stidham
01:49 for three and a half hours every Sunday.
01:50 So the Patriots are going to be a fascinating one from that standpoint.
01:54 But the money teams for ratings this year, Cowboys as always, Chiefs, Saints, Bucs,
02:01 and I guess the Ravens as well.
02:06 That gets into football stuff.
02:07 You know, that one I think is a little dicey, because I'm not sure you're going
02:11 to have the same exact season out of Lamar Jackson you've got.
02:15 So that one's an interesting one to keep an eye on.
02:18 And then, you know, the big, you know, New York markets,
02:20 Chicago markets always deliver as well.
02:23 We'll see if that holds, because as of now, the NFL is on schedule.
02:27 Jimmy, appreciate your time as always.
02:29 Anytime.
