Kawhi Leonard says the NBA hiatus 'really helped' Paul George
Transcript
00:00 Paul George looks like a whole new player now that he's in the bubble.
00:05 It's a small sample size, but George has been on quite a tear in two games so far.
00:10 He's averaging 29 points on over, you know, 50% shooting and 60% from three.
00:15 Granted, he did the same thing in the regular season when he first came, but then things
00:21 kind of calmed down a little bit.
00:23 There is a good chance that's what's going to happen again with George, but just his
00:26 play looks more smooth, everything looks more fluid, he looks more confident.
00:31 And he had mentioned at the start of the season that he was a little scared of taking contact
00:35 because of his shoulder.
00:37 And he had mentioned during the hiatus that he was able to rehab his shoulder fully and
00:41 he doesn't have to do any more rehab on his shoulders at all.
00:43 And it was the first time all season.
00:46 Kawhi Leonard addressed it post game against the Pelicans when he mentioned that George
00:51 just looks better.
00:53 It looks like the hiatus benefited him the most.
00:56 And that's something I think most people could agree upon when they watch him play that.
01:00 This guy doesn't look like the same Paul George.
01:03 The Clippers needed Paul George to be Paul George.
01:05 They needed him to be the guy who was third in MVP voting for the OKC Thunder.
01:08 Instead, they've had a guy who is a borderline All-Star who didn't even make the All-Star
01:13 team this year.
01:14 And so if they can get that OKC Paul George, the Clippers are going to be very dangerous.
