00:00Joakim Nobbe may be the newest member of the Clippers franchise, but it doesn't seem like
00:04it's taken him long to develop a bond with Ibiza's Zubats.
00:07Earlier this week, Nobbe shared an image on Instagram of him sitting courtside with Zubats
00:11at the Golden State Warriors Arena.
00:12The Clippers played their final game before the NBA season was suspended on March 11th.
00:16He tagged Zub in the photo and added the caption, almost that time, big fella.
00:20Zubats is one of three Clippers players that has yet to arrive in the bubble, along with
00:24Landry Chamott and Marcus Morris.
00:26Once Zub does make it down there, it seems safe to say that Nobbe will be eager to work
00:29with him in practice.
00:31Noah is a 13-year veteran of the league and has plenty to teach to Zubats, who just turned
00:3423 during the NBA's hiatus back in March.
00:37Zub is already an above-average defender in his position, but Noah is a former defensive
00:40player of the year and was named to the NBA's All-Defensive Team, All-Defensive First Team,
00:45that is, in 2013 and 2014, which surely has a lot of tips and pointers that Noah can give
00:49him.
00:50Clippers coach Tucker has already commented on their relationship between the two, saying
00:53that bringing in Noah will be absolutely fantastic for Zub.
00:57It's still unclear how many minutes each player will see once the NBA season does resume
01:01on July 30th, and before the restart, Zubats was averaging about 18 minutes per game, while
01:05Noah has yet to make his debut for the team.
01:07Montrose-Harrell leads up most of the minutes at the position right now, but that could
01:11change if the Clippers end up facing off against a team of the dominant big, like Joel Embiid,
01:14for example.
01:15Noah will likely serve as the team's third center and see less than 10 minutes per game,
01:19but again, that could vary if LA needs a bigger body on the floor.
01:22At the very least, it's a reliable option to put on the floor if Zub or Harrell find
01:26themselves in foul trouble.
01:28With less than a week to go before the Clippers play their first scrimmage game against Orlando
01:31Magic on July 22nd, it may be worth keeping an eye on social media to see if and when
01:36Zubats arrives in Orlando.
