LA Clippers forward Marcus Morris says he's ready to "do the dirty work" for the team's upcoming postseason run.

00:00 It wasn't hard to see why the LHC traded for Marcus Morris Sr. back in February.
00:04 He's a two-way talent, he's a perfect cultural fit with his team, and above all, he was an
00:09 upgrade over Moe Harkless.
00:10 It's taken some time for Morris to kind of mesh with the rest of the team, but the stretch
00:14 forward has looked like a near seamless start for the Clippers starters since seeding games
00:18 began earlier last month.
00:20 Whilst True is now putting up the numbers he did earlier this season with the New York
00:24 Knicks, that was never meant to be his role with his team.
00:27 On Thursday, Clare for that point during his Zoom media session said, "I'm not in New York
00:31 anymore.
00:32 I know my role on this team.
00:33 I know what the team needs me to do.
00:35 Whether I have zero points, 20 points, and we win, that's the biggest goal.
00:39 I'm in a great place with a great organization.
00:41 I'm taking on whatever role on that basis is needed, from defending, if it's scoring,
00:45 if it's just being a vocal leader and doing the dirty work, I'm all in."
00:48 In 19 games, L.A., Morris is averaging just over 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists
00:54 in about 28 minutes per game.
00:56 He's shot well in the bowl so far, connecting on 50% of his look from the field and close
00:59 to 38% in three-point range.
01:01 L.A.'s also gone 12-7 with Morris in the roster, with all seven losses decided by less than
01:06 nine points.
01:07 What's most encouraging, though, is how well Morris has played alongside Clippers stars
01:12 Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
01:14 The trio is outscoring opponents by close to 19 points per 100 possessions, and that
01:18 number goes up to 22 when you throw a bit of Zubat into the mix.
01:22 Morris would be a valuable asset to L.A.'s postseason run and maybe future ones as well.
01:27 The 30-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season, and if he helps the team
01:31 reach the finals and win the title this year, it wouldn't be a shock if Clippers brought
01:34 him back.
01:35 At the end of the media session, Morris alluded to L.A. being a long-term destination for
01:39 him as well, saying, "I'm enjoying my time here at the Clippers, and I'm excited to see
01:43 how long I stay."
