A look at who is and isn't playing ahead of the LA Clippers' contest with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Transcript
00:00 After 142 days, the other Clippers are finally taking the floor again for a meaningful basketball
00:05 game against the Los Angeles Lakers of all teams.
00:08 With multiple players living the bubble from the emergencies and others making their way
00:12 out of Orlando a bit later than everyone else, it's been difficult to predict who exactly
00:17 will play in tonight's season opener and who will sit out.
00:20 Clippers coach Doc Rivers confirmed the status of a few key players prior to the game.
00:25 We now know that Patrick Beverley will be available for tonight's contest.
00:28 Additionally, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell will miss the game for various reasons.
00:33 Harrell has yet to return from family matter he left for last week, while Williams is currently
00:36 enduring a 10-day quarantine, picking up food from a strip club during an excused absence
00:41 in development.
00:42 So, LA's updated report, like we said, Patrick Beverley is available, while Montrezl Harrell
00:46 and Lou Williams are out.
00:48 The big takeaway here is Beverley's status, of course.
00:51 The Scranton Point guard was officially listed as questionable on Wednesday night, so he's
00:55 still wrapping up his quarantine period from starting in Orlando.
00:57 However, Beverley was in the sidelines of the Clippers' shootout on this morning and
01:00 is now ready to go.
01:02 Rivers clarified that he couldn't specify how many minutes Beverley will play against
01:06 the Lakers tonight, but the fact remains that the Clippers will still have one of the most
01:09 important players on the floor for the NBA restart.
01:14 Clippers and Lakers will tip things off at approximately 9 p.m. Eastern on TNT.
