Paul George wants to relieve Kawhi Leonard of pressure and 'uplift' him

00:19Kawhi had 29 points, 12 rebounds,

00:22six assists, three steals.

00:23Paul George had 27 points, two rebounds,

00:26three assists, two steals.

00:27It's what you expected of them.

00:30When he was asked about what it was like

00:31to play in his first playoff game with Kawhi,

00:33George said, it was great.

00:34I think we both picked each other up

00:36and we both helped each other.

00:37There's a reason Kawhi is who he is in this league

00:40and he's a good leader.

00:43George has been the main leader on a team before

00:45back when he was in Indiana

00:46and he understands the pressures

00:47and the responsibilities of that.

00:49So what he wants to do is make being a leader

00:52for Kawhi Leonard as easy as possible.

00:55He said, I don't want him to ever believe

00:58that the pressure is all on him.

00:59I want to be able to uplift him and vice versa.

01:02And so it sounds like he's definitely willing

01:05and able to accept that co-star role,

01:08which is a great sign for the dynamic duo

01:11of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.
