Paul George may say it wasn't championship-or-bust year, but it truly was.

00:00 After what may be one of the biggest choke jobs in NBA history,
00:05 Paul George said something very interesting at the end of adult.
00:11 He said, we didn't feel like this was a championship or bus season,
00:15 which maybe at the start of the season, people could have assumed that.
00:19 But after the Clippers traded for Marcus Morris, after they traded for Reggie Jackson,
00:22 or after they picked up Reggie Jackson, I don't think anybody thought that.
00:26 Everybody expected the Clippers to win this season.
00:30 Other NBA players, Blake Griffin expected the Clippers, CJ McCollum expected the Clippers,
00:35 everyone expected them to win.
00:37 So to say something like we didn't expect this to be a championship or bus is quite a cop out
00:43 in a moment like this when you're up 3-1 and you've blown double digit leads
00:48 in every single game, 5, 6, and 7.
00:52 And if anyone needs to hear that again, the Clippers blew double digit leads in games 5, 6,
00:58 and 7 to advance to the conference finals for the first time ever in franchise history
01:03 after 49 years, they had that opportunity.
01:07 So to say this isn't a championship or bus season, while understandably Paul George said that
01:14 from the standpoint of, oh, this is their first year together, it's the first year for the Lakers,
01:18 it was the first year for the Raptors.
01:20 It's the first year for a lot of people, and they're not making these excuses.
01:25 So at the end of the day, the Clippers just couldn't execute.
