00:00 How hot is it going to be?
00:01 It's going to be kind of in the mid 40s.
00:04 Oh geez. And you're running mostly on sand?
00:07 It has to be 100%.
00:08 It's all sand. It's all sand.
00:09 If my feet leave sand at any point, that marathon for that day is void.
00:14 And for it to be a world record, the 30 have to be consecutive.
00:19 So I'm working with incredible people and a local team in Jordan
00:24 and we'll design the route well ahead of being there, of course.
00:28 But yeah, the entire 1,266 kilometres has to be in sand,
00:35 which of course makes it that bit harder.
00:37 Oh, just a bit, for goodness sake.
00:40 Now, Luke, you mentioned physically and mentally pushing yourself.
00:43 An awful lot of it is going to do with mind over matter.
00:46 Of course you have to be fit.
00:47 Of course you have to be, you know,
00:48 thrown, as we would call it in Scotland.
00:51 But it's all about what's going on up here as well, isn't it?
00:54 I think so. I think so.
00:55 It's the time away from family as well.
00:56 Obviously, I have my wife's over.
00:58 Yes, she is.
01:00 Time away from family and bits and bobs.
01:03 But, you know, I honestly feel like I learn an awful lot about myself when I do these things.
01:07 It's always nice to use whatever platform I have to try and do good.
