Within the bustle of the city, it's a breath of fresh air to be able to slow down and take in what makes the Philippines unique, the rich history of the people. We get a glimpse of that as we visit the presidential car museum in Quezon City, the museum of natural history, and museum of anthropolgy in Manila, and Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar back in Quezon city. But the main event is the drive. With the Ford Territory, we experienced comfortable driving through the infamous traffic of Metro Manila.

00:00 Here at spot.ph, we love the destination.
00:02 Somewhere to eat, something to do, and somewhere to be.
00:07 But today is different.
00:08 Today is all about the journey as we take the Ford Territory out on a drive in the city.
00:29 Before exploring the city in the Ford Territory, we started our journey through history at
00:34 the Museo ng Pampangunong sa Sakyan or the Museum of Presidential Cars.
00:39 This museum in Quezon City features cars used by Philippine presidents, dating all the way
00:44 back to the time of Emilio Aguinaldo, the first president of the Philippines.
00:50 We started off with a welcome lunch by Ford before getting a tour of the presidential
00:54 vehicles.
00:55 The amazing thing about this museum is that it's a mix of Philippine history and automotive
00:59 history in one.
01:01 Here we get to appreciate the way the former Philippine presidents get around in the safety
01:05 and comfort of their diplomatic vehicle, along with appreciating the advancements of automotive
01:11 technology over the years.
01:20 Bonus, it features a restored calesa, which is also road-registered.
01:26 At the parking lot of the museum, we got to try one of Ford Territory's parking features.
01:38 So one of the cool things about the Ford Territory is the feature called the Park Assist, where
01:43 it's going to help us with parallel parking, perpendicular parking, so that's what we're
01:47 trying out right now.
01:50 So right now we're letting the car do the work.
01:57 So right now we're letting the car do the work.
02:01 Parking Assist is a really cool feature, and after trying, we headed to the next museum.
02:26 On the way there, we got to try another feature of the vehicle, the Adaptive Cruise Control.
02:31 Perfect for highway driving, the Adaptive Cruise Control keeps us at a certain speed
02:37 while maintaining safe distance from the cars ahead of us.
02:41 We are now in our next destination, and one thing that I really like about this Ford Territory
02:48 is the space.
02:49 As a driver and as passengers, I don't feel uncomfortable at all.
02:53 It feels like a luxury vehicle as a crossover.
02:56 Speaking of next destination, we arrived at the Museum of Natural History.
03:01 We didn't have much time here, but we got a glimpse of some of the displays, like the
03:08 fossilized wood, the taxidermy eagle, and works of national artists, like this one by Ramon Arlina.
03:17 Right across the National Museum of Natural History is our next destination, the National
03:22 Museum of Anthropology.
03:24 Here at the National Museum of Anthropology is, as the name suggests, all about the people,
03:31 specifically Filipinos and how they lived.
03:34 We got a glimpse of their way of weaving cloth and other materials for everyday living.
03:41 As well as Baybayin, the ancient and traditional script of the Philippines, as the sign says right here.
03:51 Finally, a drive back from Manila to Quezon City takes us to our last location.
03:56 It's been a comfortable ride so far on the Ford Territory, but we're in the last stop of our trip,
04:03 which is Las Casas Filipinas de Ecuador here in Quezon City.
04:06 Let's check it out.
04:07 Las Casas Filipinas de Ecuador.
04:09 If the name sounds familiar, it's because it was made by the same people responsible
04:14 for Las Casas Filipinas de Ecuador in Bataan.
04:18 Here we get to appreciate historically inspired Philippine architecture together with some
04:22 traditionally Filipino snacks.
04:24 But the highlight of course is the church at the end of the courtyard, which is simply
04:29 beautiful in the setting sun.
04:31 Overall, driving around the city between museums was a day well spent.
04:42 The feeling of being immersed in history was made better by the comfortable drive despite
04:47 the infamous Metro Manila traffic.
04:49 That's all the time we had for the day, but do let us know if this is something you'd
04:53 like to see more of.
04:54 And if you liked, don't forget to give us a like, subscribe, and hit that notification
04:58 bell for more from Spot.ph.
