With the Philippines having several destinations for every type of traveler, we almost never run out of things to do and places to visit. But we're always bound by time and money, so we always have to make the most out of our travels. And that's what Spotted is for, to give you the best that our country has to offer, whether you only have 24 hours or even up to 72 hours.
As we end the year, we look back at the best places we visited in the Philippines: from the mountains up north to the beaches in the south. Come travel back in time with us!

00:00 2023 was a year of adventure for us here at Spot.ph as we scaled more summits, chased
00:07 more horizons, and discovered more to experience around the Philippines.
00:11 I am Meg from Spot.ph and join us as we look back on some of the amazing things we spotted
00:15 this year.
00:19 Kicking off the year was our adventure to Sicogon and the islands around it.
00:23 Sicogon itself is a beautiful island that has something for just about every traveler.
00:27 Huni Resort, for example, is the perfect place for a staycation, if that's what you're looking
00:32 for.
00:33 Meanwhile, adventurers may enjoy a quick hike up Mount Opau or the nearby lagoon.
00:40 If you're someone looking for something for your social media, the beautiful white sand
00:44 beach should be enough to impress your followers.
00:47 However, the fun doesn't stop there.
00:50 Just a quick boat ride away is the gigantist group of islands.
00:54 And how can you not snap a couple of photos while at this pristine location?
01:06 Our next adventure takes us on a road trip to the summer capital of the Philippines,
01:10 Baguio City.
01:11 A city full of culture, food, and history.
01:18 We discovered what draws people back here almost every year, the vibes.
01:23 It's pretty commonly known that Baguio's a go-to destination for those escaping the summer
01:27 heat or those wanting that cool Christmas feeling.
01:31 On top of that, we had the pleasure of trying their food, usually made from the freshest
01:35 produce.
01:37 What surprises most was the culture and history of the place, being able to visit artisan
01:43 villages and wonderful botanical gardens.
01:47 If you want to know more about this and all the places we're talking about in this video,
01:50 do check them out on the spot.ph YouTube channel.
01:57 Next we go to a province I personally never been to before until we were invited.
02:03 Bacolod and the surrounding areas are known mostly for their chicken inisal, but it's
02:07 also very steep in rich cultural heritage.
02:11 We were able to ride around and see these historical landmarks, and even had the chance
02:14 to dine at a heritage house turned restaurant.
02:17 Of course that's not to say we missed out on its iconic chicken inisal.
02:22 While we were in the area, we also had a chance for some R&R by the beach.
02:34 Our latest trip takes us to the surfing capital of the north.
02:38 While we weren't able to hit the waves, we had an amazing time getting to know the community
02:42 that gives La Union its identity.
02:45 Meanwhile, we got to try a variety of dishes and take part in the work of a sea turtle
02:49 conservation effort where we joined the sea turtle release at sunset.
02:53 How can you beat that?
03:02 Finally, the adventure doesn't stop when we get home.
03:11 We get to see your relaunched flavor profiles, our food feature show.
03:15 Some of our favorites will be shared in another video here on spot.ph, so be sure to like,
03:19 subscribe, and hit that bell so you don't miss it.
03:26 But all these adventures have been a joy to experience, and we're looking forward to what
03:31 2024 may bring.
03:34 Let us know where you would like to see us go, and perhaps we'll see you there.
03:36 Remember to like, comment, and subscribe to our channel so you don't miss any upcoming
