00:00 I love vinyl. The whole ritual, the actually placing of the record on the deck.
00:04 And I was a bit of a hi-fi nut, so I used to get the bet for what I could afford all the time.
00:10 And so that business of taking it out of its cover, putting it on the deck, putting the thing,
00:15 that is just magic to me. It's like making a good meal.
00:18 One of my favorites for vinyl, I would say, was when I was younger, was ABBA. ABBA or Dolly Parton.
00:25 We had Rod Stewart.
00:26 Rod Stewart.
00:26 Yeah, we had Rod Stewart when I was younger. And Culture Club.
00:30 Oh, yes.
00:31 Karma Chameleon, yeah. So I remember playing those and having them on full boat and the needle break.
00:37 With the needle break.
00:37 And making sure you get it in the right spot.
00:40 I personally don't know much about vinyl, but I do have quite a number of friends who are
00:45 quite obsessed with them. So I actually went to a record store last week with my friend,
00:50 who was coming to the UK for the first time,
00:52 and we toured around Yorkshire for a bit, going into different vinyl stores.
00:55 I think one of my friends, he does music, it's called Young Mind.
00:58 If you check out his Spotify and stuff like that, I think he does like,
01:01 he's starting to try and get it on vinyl.
01:03 I've got like maybe 150 records at home, quite a lot. I do like records all day,
01:09 although I try to buy records secondhand because it's a bit more affordable. They're quite expensive.
01:14 I used to come down here back in the day, near the Leeds market,
01:16 there used to be a record shop many, many years ago.
01:18 And I used to have quite a few vinyls back in the days.
01:21 My favorite song is Love Story.
01:23 My favorite singer is Justin Bieber.
01:25 The first time I heard this song, I thought he was a girl, because his voice was so cute.
01:33 Yeah, but we don't use vinyl.
01:36 Yeah.
01:36 I love Jumbo Records in Leeds. I love a good vinyl shop.
01:39 They are also getting too expensive. I feel like it used to be like,
01:43 you could get like a secondhand record for like, I don't know, 10 quid.
01:46 And now it's like 20 something.
01:48 Obviously, I'm Gen Z. It's not really, you know,
01:50 era kind of, but it's coming back into fashion. Definitely vinyls.
01:54 You've seen a few stores pop up. Like there's one in the core that's come up recently,
01:58 one by the Corn Exchange.
