00:00 The Malaysia External Trade Development Corp or MATRED is making its maiden attempt to
00:08 internationalize the Malaysia International Halal Showcase or MIHAS by taking it to Dubai
00:14 this year.
00:15 Themed "Globalizing Halal Innovations," MIHAS will be held in Kuala Lumpur from September
00:21 17 to 20 and Dubai from November 18 to 20.
00:25 Through MIHAS, we were able to solidify our position in the international market to showcase
00:34 the strength of our halal ecosystem, the depth of our expertise, and the quality of our halal
00:41 product and services offerings.
00:44 The Dubai portion of the event, dubbed "MIHAS at Dubai," will be held within the Middle
00:49 East Organic and Natural Product Expo.
00:52 By selecting Dubai as the venue for MIHAS, we strategically positioned our event in a
01:00 vibrant market hub, tapping into a diverse range of attendees from the Middle East and
01:06 beyond, and unveiling our strategy for attracting buyers coming from the Middle East and North
01:14 Africa, or known as MENA, South America, and South Asia and the emerging markets.
01:22 The Halal Trade Show, which is projected to achieve RM1 billion in sales, will feature
01:27 a total of 2,000 booths from 45 countries with 14 clusters, including the newly introduced
01:34 Halal Ingredients Cluster.
01:36 The event will also feature the International Sourcing Program, which connects Malaysian
01:41 exporters with 500 international buyers, including 20 premium buyers, through virtual and physical
01:47 meetings.
