00:10 >> The next Challenge All-Star Champion.
00:14 >> What we're gonna do is we're gonna give you guys a show.
00:17 >> What is that?
00:19 >> Best challenge ever.
00:21 >> The Challenge All-Stars, new season streaming April 10th.
00:24 >> The Challenge, it's about mind and body.
00:29 And it's about mindset.
00:31 The thing is that each of you in your competitions before,
00:34 you have to approach it in a different way with something like this.
00:38 Because these are all winners in many ways.
00:40 Can you each talk about your mindset going into this specific show and
00:46 where your heads were at?
00:48 Cam, if you wanna start and then Ace.
00:49 >> Absolutely, so my mindset going into this show is different from any other
00:55 show that I've done because I am a new mom.
00:58 So with me being a new mom, it's just time to play a no nonsense game, right?
01:04 I'm not here to waste any time and just to sit back and let other people make
01:08 the moves, that's how I always play.
01:10 But now it's even a lot more intensified, essentially,
01:15 because I'm not just playing for myself.
01:17 I am playing for my child back home as well.
01:20 And my baby was only eight months old when I left, and Lee is here with me as well.
01:25 So my baby does not have both of their parents at home.
01:28 So I'm gonna do whatever I can to win because if I make a huge game move,
01:33 that's amazing for my game and I get to stay another day.
01:37 But if I make a huge game move and go home,
01:39 I get to go home to the most amazing baby in the world.
01:42 So I'm ready to risk it all.
01:45 [MUSIC]
01:48 >> There are certain people that are challengers at heart.
01:50 I am one of them.
01:52 [MUSIC]
01:54 >> I wanna make it undeniable.
01:57 Champion of champs, that's what I want.
02:00 >> I belong here, I can do it.
02:01 I'm getting my redemption.
02:03 >> Even though I'm a mom now, I'm still killer camp.
02:05 >> I'm excited to be with them, but this is a game.
02:08 >> So I've been friends with Martin Long for like 17 years.
02:10 And he's always been like that big brother, and I never had.
02:15 And the last challenge after I went home first, he gave me the best advice.
02:19 He was like, listen, if something happens, you don't wanna be the guy in the front,
02:24 you don't wanna be in the back, you just gotta hang in the middle,
02:27 pay attention to people, and then make your move at the right time.
02:31 So on this season, I decided I was gonna really think more, stay in the middle,
02:36 and try to learn people more than just trying to rely on my physical abilities,
02:41 which is depleting every day as I get older.
02:44 [LAUGH]
02:45 >> So it's- >> That was bad.
02:47 >> So I turned 45 last week and I can feel it, my knees can go anywhere now.
02:53 >> Welcome to All Stars 4.
02:56 >> Let's [BLEEP] go.
02:57 [MUSIC]
03:01 >> Whoever gets sent in with me, let's play.
03:04 >> I've been gone for 18 years, now is my time.
03:06 >> Laurel hates my guts because she's secretly still in love with me.
03:09 >> I don't wanna hear it.
03:10 >> Do not speak to me for the rest of the game, Ty.
03:13 [MUSIC]
03:14 >> Let's [BLEEP] play.
03:15 >> Now we're having fun.
03:17 >> Man, hell no.
03:18 >> But it's interesting that you said that, Ace,
03:21 is the aspect of communication but listening.
03:23 And I mean, I've seen the first two episodes, so
03:26 it's interesting seeing the dynamics within that structure.
03:29 And how certain people listen, certain people don't.
03:32 Certain people let things happen, others don't.
03:35 Can you talk about the aspect of communication within strategy?
03:39 Not as, to be advantageous, but
03:41 you have to work together sometimes to get through the challenge.
03:45 >> Communication is very,
03:47 that's one of the most important aspects of the game.
03:50 With Ace and I, what I loved and observed about Ace's game is,
03:55 he is like a lone wolf in an amazing sense.
03:58 Because he is not just gonna go with the group or go with the flow.
04:03 Ace is like, no, I'm gonna do what I wanna do.
04:06 Because that's just how he is, and I really love and admire that about him.
04:11 So that shows a real leader quality.
04:15 And just with communication throughout the game,
04:18 obviously I'm there with Lee.
04:19 So that is my main and number one person that I know I can really communicate
04:24 every single thought and how I'm feeling too in regards to gameplay.
04:29 So I have somebody to run it by with and bounce ideas off with.
04:32 And then with the rest of the house, of course,
04:34 because we're trying to build alliances.
04:36 And it's a constant thing.
04:39 This is something you have to do every day.
04:41 You have to wake up and have those conversations and touch bases with people.
04:45 Because that is, believe it or not, what is going to put you higher up on
04:52 their totem pole in a sense.
04:54 Sometimes if I'm just ignoring somebody, they'll be more likely to vote me in.
04:59 [MUSIC]
05:06 >> In order to compete in the final, you must be in possession of a star.
05:10 These stars can and will be stolen.
05:13 [MUSIC]
05:16 >> I'm taking your star when I come back.
05:18 >> It's gonna be a dog fight.
05:20 >> I love the drama.
05:21 >> That was so sweet what you just said.
05:23 Thank you so much.
05:24 I'm really impressed.
05:24 That's one of the nicest things I've ever heard from this.
05:27 So thank you.
05:28 You're so wonderful.
05:29 So thank you.
05:29 >> Who are you?
05:31 >> But yeah, communication is, it took me forever to learn, but
05:36 that's the most important part of this thing is just to talk to people.
05:39 And it's a mental game.
05:45 It gets tough.
05:48 The competitions are tough, but dealing with people, it's really tough.
05:53 And that's why it's so easy to watch this on TV.
05:56 Like, you couldn't spell something and you fell in the water.
05:58 But it's so hard when you're actually in the moment.
06:01 You put your heart and your soul into something.
06:03 And then that's why people get emotional, cuz it's a lot.
06:09 And it's easy to judge from television cuz I do it all the time.
06:12 I'll be watching Survivor like, I know that.
06:14 And then I get up there and I forget how to spell my name.
06:16 So it's a lot.
06:20 >> All have their tables overturned.
06:22 >> What just happened?
06:22 >> Literally pulls out the reverse Uno card.
06:24 >> I'm not trying to be a bad person.
06:27 >> Laurel, you're gonna look back on this and
06:29 regret the way Nicole's playing you for a fool.
06:31 >> You don't [BLEEP] know me.
06:33 >> Shut up.
06:35 >> And my last question to both of you, cuz it's interesting cuz you wanna be
06:38 competitive, but your body says one thing as you were talking about, Ace.
06:43 Your head says another, your instinct says another thing.
06:47 Can you guys talk about how your competitive nature has changed?
06:50 Obviously, Kim, you were talking about being a mother now, and
06:53 that changes the dynamic.
06:54 But has your sense of competition changed as you've grown older,
07:00 as you've had more experience doing what you guys do?
07:02 >> You know what?
07:05 Coming back into the show, one of the questions that I kind of asked myself,
07:10 like, hey, is Killa Cam still in there?
07:13 And just from the moment that it begun,
07:17 from we got to the airport and landed in Cape Town, I'm like, yeah,
07:22 she's definitely still there, whether I'm a mother or not.
07:26 Because I think there's a little bit of Killa Cam in all of us.
07:29 We all are competitive, whether we're playing the challenge or
07:34 we're at home playing game night with our family or something like that.
07:39 It's just the inner competitor in me, and she lives on, and
07:42 that fire is always burning when it's competition time.
07:46 >> Cool, Ace, for you?
07:48 >> Yeah, I tore my ACL a year before this challenge, so
07:53 I knew that I wasn't gonna be able to physically do a lot of the things that
07:57 I would normally be good at.
07:58 So I had to really think, almost cheat in a way.
08:02 Like, if we're looking for something, I would find where the cameras were and
08:07 see what they were focused on.
08:08 They're like, okay, I'm gonna head in that direction.
08:10 And I remember I went this completely opposite way of everybody else,
08:16 and I was so ahead of everybody.
08:18 And Leroy catches me, passes me going 1,000 miles an hour.
08:23 So it was tough because even with me almost cheating,
08:25 me coming up with a whole different route to go, I could still get beat by speed.
08:30 So it was a lot as far as that is concerned.
